trim base does not fit
I ordered this trim kit as recommended by amazon when I ordered the Frigidaire microwave FGMO226NUF. . It does not work with this microwave. I'm doing a kitchen remodel and have passed the 30 day return policy. Very disappointed in Amazon and Frigidaire since trim kit that works with this model is unavailable yet Frigidaire continues to sell the microwave as a built in.

Had No Cut Out
Well, I have the Frigidaire microwave model ( FGM0205KF ) and I wanted the old microwave from over the stove. Decided I would give this a try and due the built in. Was some work to it, I didn't expect it to come with the bottom tray the microwave sits on, maybe I didn't read that part. Just thought I would share how it came out since some of the info others shared helped me, thought I could help someone else. Thought it was a bit pricey until I got it and found the bottom tray came with the frame.Just make sure you measure, leave yourself some space for the frame screws they go in the top and bottom sideways. If you counter hangs over leave yourself some space. Wasn't easy from scratch but if you already have the cut out should be a breeze.

Simple, easy trim kit
Simple and easy to install. Other reviewers have stated it is a cheaply made trim kit. It has a plastic front, but a sheet metal bottom tray. Plenty sturdy and much better than the 26 year old aluminum trim kit that came out with the old microwave. Just a shame the kit costs so much

looks ok
The grill looks nice , better than a hole in the cabinet for sure . I only had one problem ; the feet of the microwave did not match the rails that also have dimples for the feet to hold the microwave in place only hits one hole. I called the sales department to see about one that fit my microwave. They said I had the one supposedly for my oven they were nice and offered me a refund. I could not find a different one that fits so I added two pieces of aluminum where the feet landed and glued the back leg in place.

Stainless steel doesn’t match Frigidaire Gallery.
One- this is the trim kit that was recommended when I purchased the Frigidaire microwave from Amazon. The stainless steel color does not match. Two- the trim kit does not attach to the microwave or at least not that I could tell from the instructions. The microwave needs a lot of adjusting to sit square in the frame. Three- there was no way for me to attach the outside frame. The screws go in diagonal from the top and bottom. also, the screws that come with it were WAY. TOO. LONG! Very bad design. Four- I bought this as a damaged box item. It was my first time doing that and I realize the gamble. You can see from the picture that the product arrived worn on the frame. It was dirty, too. My only saving grace is that microwaves don’t last very long (even the expensive ones) and that the microwave is below the counter.
