Not sure why so many negative reviews about the fit. It’s made specifically to fit a round toilet and fits great! Very solid and love the soft close lid! Recommend!

This replaces the original American Standard 5121.110 toilet seat and the 5121.210 model, which are now discontinued. This replaces both of those and are designed for a round front toilet, not the elongated bowl. At first I didn't think it fit but I had to remove old hinges from bowl and replace with supplied top mount hinge. They also supply bottom mount that didn't fit my application. Actually fits better than the original.

It was a little pricy but it's the easiest I've ever seen to clean. It pops off and can be replaced without any trouble and 're-seats' without destroying the integrity of the seat (if a toilet seat can have integrity)

Much more sturdy and well made than most. My only criticism, and it's no big deal, is that if you want to drop the seat without also dropping the cover there's no much room and you have to kind of finesse it. Not hard to get the hang of and I bought an additional one as well so obviously not a deal breaker. Based on build and material quality I expect it to last far longer than most. Perhaps should have given it five starts.

If you have a round toilet the telescoping seat will make the hole the smaller and less comfortable unless you are a smaller person. This is because for the lid to cover the seat it requires some space to rest on the toilet bowl. This seat is better if you have an elongated bowl -- I don't recommend for a round bowl.Also, the white seat looks more like a "bone white" or off white. So it doesn't match your toilet if its a bright white.
