Now it looks complete with this high quality addition.Directions included with the product are sufficient to get the job done.For surface preparation, I mixed up a little degreaser, (Totally Awesome) with some dish detergent, (Dawn) and thoroughly cleaned the surface. It took three applications and scrubbing with a brush before the foam was white and no sign of contamination. Then, I did two alcohol wipe downs. The adhesive promoter is in a vial which after the internal chamber is popped, must be vigorously shaken to get it come to the tip. A single, even application is all that is needed. The final step is to peel the plastic from the adhesive and carefully place it because it will stick and not move. Done. Looks great.

Get the brushed over the polished if you want to match your pedals to the factory. This has held up well and fit well. I got the polish, not knowing which was the factory, hence the reason for this review. The polished will get marked up a bit, so the brushed may be the better choice.

The brushed finish matches pretty good with the factory pedals. This plate finishes what Ford should have from the factory. Installation hint - pay attention to the installation orientation. The trim plate can be installed two ways. One corner of the plate is more rounded than the others, and that corner needs to be located in the upper right hand corner when installed. Look carefully at the way the dead pedal is shaped and you will see what I mean.

I have no idea why Ford didn’t do this from the factory...this just completes the look. The product is amazing and is of very high quality!!! I was expecting something thin and flimsy but that is not the case. Installiation was a breeze. Just pop the dead pedal out of the car, clean, and stick then put back into car. So glad I finally pulled the trigger on this purchase!!!

I don't know why Ford did not include this for the dead pedal. The other two pedals (yes it's an auto) have the same look. I'm thinking the same for the stick shift too. This makes for a better looking and more complete interior trim.

The instructions in the package showed a tube of liquid adhesive promoter, however my kit came with a glasses wipe style moist towelette that was completely dried out. Without promoter I was unable to adhere the dead pedal and had to return it.I wonder if they switched to these because they are cheaper but they are also worse. If the product stays on the shelf too long they will dry out. I’ve had the same problem with alcohol glasses wipes.
