Great value and quality
So simply to set up, quality of the camera is absolutely spot on. Battery life is extremely good and all recordings are crystal clear. The night vision is also crystal clear. Gotta say these are great value for money

Poor quality poor battery life
Sadly this camera isn't great quality. Its battery drains completely on a daily basis and images are often pixelated or lost all together. I purchased as an add on to my Ultra 2 system, so I'm familiar with the product. I've had an Arlo system without subscription hardwired with a hub for 5 years. I've had 2 Pro cameras that died within 2 years and 3 years. It's not robust. Don't expect to fit and forget, plus they keep changing the leads and connections. They are easy to fit though. Would I recommend... I'm 50/50 on that one. If you can, or you are prepared to, put in a full RJ45 system then that's a far better solution.

Very good but some issues
A further two cameras added to my system. They work well. The brackets supplied with them were useless. Replaced with some third party ones. I don’t like the idea of having to pay a monthly fee to store recordings. I use a memory stick in the base station, but that isn’t ideal.

The quality of these are amazing.
The quality of these are amazing. Easy to set up, great functionality and size. Definitely worth the investment as the value to money is great. Works perfect at night too.

Absolutely Superb!
I cannot praise this product enough to do justice. I had a poor experience from the first unit purchased from a high street retailer, which was exchange but found the same issue (battery lasted a week) - Arlo support are quick to respond and very helpful. They sent a new one out which had 100% battery on install on 6th August, we are now 12th October and only 10% battery life has been spent. By my estimation, the battery will remain charged well over 12months (if required) - Set up is very easy.... pairing up with my WiFi took no more than 3 minutes - The new Unit ordered from Amazon had 67% battery level so I have now left it on charge before placement. DO NOT HESITATE to purchase this camera at this price point. Arlo is a great Company, and so is this product.

Brilliant, with a hidden shortcoming!
I got a great deal on this (to the extent I bought a second). There are two aspects to this review - with and without the subscription. It's probably worth pointing out that I got these for wildlife watching. With SUBSCRIPTION There is a high level of customisation. - Manual Alarm - Microphone - Video settings (low light etc) - Activity Zones: Motion detection in a restricted area (so you can exclude areas eg moving trees - Video Recording: Automatic when detected, and you can also set video recording manually. Videos go into an Arlo cloud library and are stored for I think its 48 days (certainly over a month) and are then auto deleted. You can download the stored videos to your local device before they are deleted. - Activity Periods: so you can set it to run overnight but not during the day, for example. - Manual photos, which go directly to your local device - Motion Detection Notifications, which include a snapshot WITHOUT SUBSCRIPTION - Alarm - Microphone. I've made great use of this, telling the crows to get off the bird table :) - Video settings (low light etc) - Motion Detection Notifications without snapshot Overall its a great camera. However, had I not been forced to take a 6 week automatic free premium upgrade, I not only would have not got a second one, I probably wouldn't have even kept the first! Yes, I still love the picture quality, and shouting at the crows. However, the removal of the facility to take a photo directly to my phone really hurts, and I'm pretty peeved about this one as it requires no server space or processing on their part. This is just plain mean. I original got Arlo because it's part of SmartThings, so I could sit and watch the bird table on our Samsung TV (our landlord has forced us to put it 30ft away in a part of the garden with no overlooking windows) . This was pretty ropey - half the time it wouldn't connect (fine using phone, so defo SmartThings and not a network issue) . Then when the TV bit the dust and we replaced with an LG, that was SmartThings gone. The LG hasn't the processing power to run video in its browser, so I have to use Edge on xbox - a pain in the rear. So really, think carefully about what you want long term, and do a full lifetime costing with subscription. I may just end up dumping and getting another brand, simply for the ability to take snapshots of tweets on my phone - cheaper than a subscription!

Avoid! Waste of money!
The camera started having problems in just 4 months! It has just been completely shut down now! The customer service is unhelpful. Very disappointed and caused extra work to replace it.
