Fun Books
You can't go wrong with Amelia Bedelia, her silly misunderstandings get the kids laughing in a way that helps them want to keep reading even if it's a little hard still.

Not level 2 definitely and very american
By American, I mean the language, which is ok for the USA, but for a child under the British curriculum, many things sound odd. But also, the text and the language and the meaning are very difficult for 5 year old. It is definitely not level 2 under the British Curriculum, it is at least level 3.

Great purchase
These books are just like the ones I remember as a child. There are new Amelia Bedelia books but personally I don't like them at all – these are the real thing!

Great learning tools
I am using it to help my 8yo daughter learn to read English while living in Germany. We’re from Canada and English is her native tongue, but she doesn’t get to use it with anyone but me.
