Easy and delicious soup cup.
These are my favorite go-to lunch item when I don't have leftovers or it is a busy day. Add 2 Tbsp of lime juice for best flavor!! This is by far the best flavor that Dr. McDougall's makes.

good
Hot and sour soup: trusted US brand made in California, and tastes good. I actually use it a lot of times for the soup mix . I toss in the pot with additional vegetables & tofu. I would recommend.

Love this pea soup!
I love pea soup but making it from scratch is pain and i a lot of the time no one else but me wants it! It's also not a dish you find eating out much.. So I went looking for a good one serving way to enjoy it. I tried canned soups first. I didn't like them and if it had meat in it it was always just awful! So when I found this I thought why not? How bad can it be? I will say I got this brand and the Nile Spice brand at the same time to try. Out of the two this won hands down for me. I found that this had a much more smooth texture yet hearty taste then the Nile Spice brand pea soup did. One this you may find odd is how it shows chunks of carrots and peas but inside there are no to be seen.. If you read the package you will find that it does indeed list them. It seems they are all just powdered so no re-hydrated veggies in this. Some might be put off by this but I liked it! The Nile Spice brand one DOES have re-hydrated veggies and from what I found not near as smooth and flavorful taste.. In fact it had a distinct "cup ramen" taste that I did NOT like. I will be buying the Dr. McDougall's brand from now on! Also, a little tip on making this, add less water if you want it thicker!

Zero fats
The main part I really liked is that there are no fats, and my mom can't have fatty/cholesterol ingredients. Also, because the noodles are thin, it cooks well and fast. The only part that is missing the mark is the usual Pad Thai flavor. But if you can not have peanuts, then you are in luck. If you are truly hungry, make twol. I also don't like the salt content, which throws off the "health" factor. Despite this, it is a great cup of soup. :)

Not gluten free (despite wording that says it is)
Unfortunately the Kung Pao Noodle cup is not gluten free. The wording on here just needs to be changed. It says gluten free so many times that I didn't even check the label but unfortunately we can't have gluten so we'll need to give it away. We've had 2 other products by this company ( that are gluten free) and they are great!! Hope they come up with a gluten free option for this soon because it sounded SO good!

spillage of contents into the boxes that were crushed during shipment
It has shipped in thin boxes that have been crushed on the sides resulting in crushing of the soup container inwards with spillage of contents into the boxes and ripping of the top seal of the soups. This has happened repeatedly now. The Dr. McDougall split pea soup itself is of course healthful and quite good.

For Dried cup-o-soup: FIVE STARS
We all know no packaged soup--canned or cuppa--is gonna be as delicious as the fresh, home-made stuff. Still, convenience is worth a bit of sacrifice, for those rushed or lazy days. I ordered this because 1. I like split pea, it's like a filling, comfort soup and 2 I wanted to try a vegan soup (no ham or the other stuff that they usually put in pea soup). I didn't expect much. I expected ADEQUATE, no more. Well, surprise me. This was TASTY. I am very pleased with this dried/cup soup. If you follow instructions precisely, it should come out with a terrific texture (not too runny, not too thick) and a nice pea flavor. My only quibble is that it's on the salty side (though not eye-crossingly so). I would definitely get more of this. I'm gonna go through this case pretty fast, I can tell you. I'm ready to try more of McDougall's vegan soups. If others are as good or better than the Vegan Split Pea with Barley, then I'm in for some nice convenience lunches. Each container has 240 calories (that's considered two servings, but please, who eats just half?), 10 grams of fiber, 16 grams of protein, 1 gram of fat (no trans fats), and 42 carbs. The sodium count is 600mg. 24% of Vitamin A requirement. Yum. Mir
