Works great, does what it's supposed to, great price.
It's rubber, it's black, it works. Nice 2 pack, great price. Had to remove the metal end in my synthetic rope to get it to slide through, no biggie. For those who dont know while the rope or cable is out before winching you should slide this halfway down to prevent whiplash in case of a cable failure. You can also "lock" this in place by sliding the cable or rope into the slot at the edge of the hole.Overall works as intended, a great deal, would buy again.

Just stick it in
Works great. I know others said it cant be installes on a fixed steel line. But I did it with minimal effort. Here how: -First place rubber in bowl of water-Microwave water for 3 to 4 min. Not boiling but you should see air bubbles coming from the rubber.- Take hot water and runber out side to winch.- remove rubber from water (yeah its hot so be smart)-lube up rubber with wd40 or KY jelly or what ever you have. (I uses wd40 but lubes lube right?)-press steel winch cable through rubber and bam its in. Just like.... well amazon would block me for saying that so you get it... its in.Depending on thickness of your cable you may need to trim a little bit of rubber away from the back to help ease the cable in as i did. ok product
this is ok for a winch stopper, purchased these to put on a 5000lbs winch with cable, first let me say even after soakingthese in hot water for a long time these are very hard to install over the loop. I ended up taking the cable off and threading it thru the bitter end and spooling the cable back on. for a few dollars more you can get the 2 part cable stopper that you can just clamp on the cable.. I should have went that route

Works
Not much to this, just holds a winch hook in place. Sucks if you have to unspool you entire line so you can get this installed, but if you buy this when you buy your winch/line, install it from the beginning and it's no problem

no more rattle
Put this on my Polaris 4500 lb winch and took out the slack so it won't let the hook rattle while on the trail, works great.
