Hennessy Hammock - Jungle Safari Zip XXL

I have been camping a lot with my sons in Boy Scouts and have used a tent with various sleeping pads. I had back surgery 5 years ago, and weigh 260 lbs and have a real hard time getting comfortable on the ground. The pressure points really do me in. I read about hammock camping and decided to give it a try. I used the Hennessey Jungle Safari Zip on the next campout. The first night was different because I did not hange the hammock evenly and found myself not being able to get comfortable. The next day I adjusted the hammock and was able to lay flat on a 30 degree angle that night. It was the most comfortable sleeping night camping I have ever had. I will only use my hammock from now on. There was a bad thunderstorm that second night with 30 mph winds and I stayed completely dry. It was amazing.

My first experience with hammock camping was excellent. The Hennesey Jungle Safari Zip is made with high quality materials and workmanship. I watched some youtube videos for setup and chose to use Gorilla straps/Caribiners as well as using two rappel rings on one end to easily tighten the hammock, which worked perfectly. I also used a separate cord for the rain fly, which placed the rain fly a few inches higher than the hammock ridgeline, giving some breathing room and allowing breeze into the hammock. The hex rain fly that comes with this model is large and covers the hammock very well. I'm 6'1" and about 230lbs and I was quite comfortable, able to sleep on my back and also on my side which was excellent.

Didn’t like that it was made in China for the cost of it.

It was my first time spending the night in a hammock. I was comfortable enough. It rained during the night and with the cover I stayed relaxed and dry. In addition, the netting allowed for nice air flow, and I was not bothered by mosquitoes flying around outside. Inside, there is a little catchall above you on the support. This was a pleasant surprise. I was able to put a flashlight along with several other things in it and not have them rolling around where I was laying. Putting the hammock and cover up took very little time and presented no problem. All in all, I'm glad I bought the Hennessy Hammock. It is well made and should last me several years.

Hennessy hammock are right asym so if your left lay person like me there not comfortable at all and they should come with insulation pad because at least 44 states you need insulation pad in them period in summer or you will freeze in them. They are on the heavy side for long hiking in backwoods. There straps and ropes for hanging are joke when trees are over 8 inches in diameter the straps will slide down tree Everytime you get in hammock. So now I know why everyone converting over to whoopiesl slings with normal tree straps. Yes HH are thick and heavy. I only recommend these hammock for car camping or backyard use or park.Other issue they say up to seven foot Peron can sleep in it wrong I am 5' 10" and barley enough room for me when you sleep in it right way

It’s a Hennessy!! As a decade long hammock camper, I have always heard how great these are, but now I know, all the raves are right. I bought this for my son for his eagle present, and now I am getting one for me!

I may never sleep in another bed again. I've used several different hammocks before and even the smaller Hennessy hammocks before but due to the size of this it's by far the best hammock I have ever used. I set it up expecting the rope to stretch which it did. I think after a few more nights most the rope stretch will be gone

Great hammock! I am a large man and this feels like I still have room to grow if needed. Great all in one system, no need for anything else.
