I think that this is the first "wood" toothbrush that I've ever used. It was a different experience, but not a bad one.We wanted these toothbrushes to use when camping in our camper and they worked perfectly. They are lightweight, and easy to store.The bristles are soft, but I felt that they did a good job at cleaning my teeth. There were four toothbrushes in the pack that I received, and each one is colored differently on the end of the handle. That coloring makes it easy to identify your toothbrush, handy.Again, these bamboo toothbrushes feel different - in the handle, but they seem to work well and the bristles feel nice and soft. I'm really glad that I tried these toothbrushes, they've provided a good, new experience for me.
