Q: Will the shield on this cable take solder with no problems? i need to feed left/right audio, dc voltage and ground, and the ground has to be soldered.

The shield is an aluminum type foil and not designed to be soldered. But there is a non-insulated tinned copper “drain” wire that is wrapped 100% in contact with the foil shield that is designed to be soldered and work as a ground conductor. This cable has 3 insulated conductors, and 1 unisulated ground/shield conductor.
