We love the printer
We have bought 3 3-d printers from AirWolf. In fact we still have the very first one that we bought 6 years ago. When we purchased the first printer, we sat at their kitchen table in their home and they taught us how to use the printer and software. Their tech support was incredible (at the time it was Erik Wolf). We have an Axiom that we purchased about a year ago directly from them. We love the printer. It is constantly running making all kinds of things that my spouse has designed. Anytime I say "you know I could really use ...." she gets on her computer and designs something that will do the job. She took the class for Sketchup from them, it was a 3 day class. It showed her how to do the designing instead of always going to thinkaverse.com to find something that would kinda do. AirWolf has always been wonderful to work with and helps us when we run into problems. (The problems are usually operator error) The Axiom is so easy to use that if I need to make a print myself, I can do it without a problem. Thanks Erik and Eva for all the help and support throughout the years.

we were very happy with its performance and at the time I would ...
I had a hard time deciding on what rating to give this. Our main use is for printing polycarbonate parts, so we originally purchased an airwold Hd2X. That printer worked well for the most part but we had a lot of problems with warping. When we saw this model was fully enclosed we decided to get it. At first, we were very happy with its performance and at the time I would have given it a rating of 5 stars. However, after a few prints it started to have issues with the Z-axis and was not moving properly. Tech support tried to help us solve the issue, and we went through a lot of trouble shooting, replacing motors and even the rambo board, but ultimately we had to send the unit back for repair. While this was covered under warranty, we had to pay the shipping (which was not trivial), and we wasted several weeks and many hours trying to solve the issue prior to this. While they were very pleasant to deal with and tried their best to help solve the issue, I think that since we received a faulty product they should have replaced it as I am afraid that it will start acting up again and this was nothing that we did.We now have the printer back and it seems to be working well, but I am living in fear that it will break any print. So, my overall opinion is that this is a great printer, especially for polycarbonate, but I would be wary about ordering one based on the issues we had. Hopefully we just had a lemon...

Horrible print quality, Very Noisy, and Very Poor Customer Service
These printers are the same as all of their other printers, poor accuracy, very loud, and hard to get good quality prints with. They used to care about their customers and be a quality company but now they don't. They used to push their customers to use Cura which used to be a not so good slicer, but now it's excellent. But now that Airwolf has their own slicer called Apex they won't offer any help or support with any other brand of slicer. If you don't use Apex you are totally on your own! And Apex is by far the worst slicer I've ever used!! It is a pathetic attempt to make their own slicer, and it is not even worth downloading. This makes their printers completely useless! Because of all of this, we just sold our 2 Axiom printers to buy a WAY better and also cheaper printer and luckily FedEx destroyed both of them in shipping and covered them with the insurance so those machines have been put out of their misery! Thank you FedEx!!

and a good size print area
I have been using this printer for a year now. No problems, and a good size print area. This printer is being used in a classroom, so it is used alot. Very nice is the auto leveling bed so it always does the print nice. I use alot of different materials from ABS, PLA, Poly Carbonite, and soft materials like TPE and TPU, which are rubbery in texture(I have the Direct Drive Dual). Customer service is awesome with questions or problems. I do highly recommend the Axiom series of printers

Want a head ache?
Where to begin about the airwolf axiom? Lets start with their hilarious technical support who communicate with only one email a day lol. You send them your problem and get ready to have the longest email chain of your life. They first tell me the component thats broken is a diode thats great but i had to ask 10 questions to clarify it was a transient voltage suppresor SA 5.0 . This company does not have a simple technicians manual for a printer that cost this much is just setting up your customer for failure. All their components are off the shelf electronics yet they package it in a way that there is ZERO serviceability to them. this printer is designed with overpriced parts that are meant to be disposable to airwolf. Yeah you might need a new board or send us your ERC. How about you design a product the end user can maintain vs trapping us in a continuous cycle of part replacement. The extruder has the wiring harness so integrated it makes you wonder why they didnt make a connector to the extruder so you could have the wiring harness separate. They do this so you dont want to take your whole extruder apart so you can service the wires your self. They have this great ERC system has is great modularity but the replacements are 800-1800 depending on your printer. In short their technical support is someone who builds their printer ,which means they have no technicians manual start with they have no standards in place for serviceability. Im an engineering student and i could say save your money find something who is transparent about their components used as airwolf will make you go insane trying to clarify specifications for a simple TVS Diode.
