Fantastic Value Knife for the Money
Simply put this is a great value for the money. I really just can't see anyone regretting this purchase. I will get right into it:********* PROS *********~ QUALITY: Fit and finish are fantastic--PERIOD. This knife is made in China, but so far as I can tell, the quality is outstanding. The stone wash finish is beautifully even, and down right sexy. The initial grind was even and well set. The handle shaping was nice, clean, and smooth. The G10 scales are ground perfectly to the tang creating a flawless looking handle.~ STEEL: Look, its a $40 knife, so its barely even "mid range". However, D2 is a great choice for a knife you want to bang around. It holds an edge well enough and I actually found it VERY easy to sharpen this knife up to shaving sharp. I would call this the "appropriate" steel to use at this price point.~ SHEATH: I actually found the plastic sheath to be pretty decent for this price point. It could certainly benefit from a little more time spent on finishing, but you can do that yourself. Better yet, replace it outright with your own custom molded kydex job. Mine did rattle a little as others also observed, but I did not find that problematic at all. The blade is held very tight in the sheath, certainly plenty for my upside-down, open carry mount on my shoulder strap.~ AESTHETICS: Personally speaking, I think the aesthetics of this knife are really classic and understated. Its not flashy, or overly complex. I purchased the tan color, so with the dark stone wash, black sheath, and black hardware, it has a really classy 2-tone look which I think will age very well. The tan color was a decent (not perfect) match to my kangaroo colored bag, meaning it blends well. I doubt many people notice it on my shoulder as I march past them with my 3 year old.~ "SCARE FACTOR": Also, again personal opinion, but this knife has a pretty low "scare factor". The understated design and smaller size make this "not too threatening". I find the understated nature particularity important since I take it hiking with my family on often well-traveled trails-- I want a knife ready to go, but not something super overt and intimidating.~SIZE/UTILITY: I would qualify this as a light to mid-duty knife, well suited to concealment, or general utility, maybe small game hunting. The smaller size seems well suited to scout carry/concealed if that's your thing. Again, see scare factor above... being a bit on the smaller size suites my need quite well.********* CONS *********~ The clip is probably the only real CON. Honestly, its not that bad, but I don't expect it to hold up to serious abuse. I actually shaved the sides down so it would fit into the top webbing on my 5.11 Amp12 shoulder strap. I dialed it in so the fit was snug and secure, then added the elastic keeper over the top of the sheath. IT AIN'T COMING OUT OF THERE. I draw tested it dozens of times so I KNOW its good to go. However, for a belt mount, with routine on and off moves, I could see it breaking easily.~ D2 can rust, so make sure you coat it with something. I choose to use this film lubricant: https://www.amazon.com/Sentry-GLIDE-inhibitor-Knives-Needle/dp/B0062Y9BLM?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_dp~ The size may or may not be a CON for you. I liked the smaller size as mentioned above, but if you are looking for a handle that will really fill your hand... it ain't this knife. Probably wouldn't want to dress a deer with it either.********* SUMMARY *********Sure, this isn't a Chris Reeves masterpiece. Yea, its not top grade steel. OK, the plastic sheath rattles a little. But... maybe don't bring a $40 budget and expect a $400 knife. Having a super expensive knife isn't practical for carefree use camping or hiking. I want to carry this with my son while we hike and I don't want the attention of every Karen on the trail while I do it. Overall, I think an excellent value if you come in with the proper intentions. AN easy 5 star review from me.

Great value fixed blade knife.
Seems like a very nice little fixed blade knife for the money! Feels well made, and is nice and sharp. I will mount it on a plate carrier. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the sheath, which feels like cheap plastic, came with a small crack, that allows the point of the knife to stick through.

D2 and G10 for less than $40 is a steal!
I am very impressed with this knife! The steel is magnificent, looks fantastic, I have a lot of stone-wash knifes and this one is by far the most natural looking and has the best color and texture consistency. They did a fantastic job on the finish. The G10 grips are super nice, they are contoured very well. The grip position is not the most natural feeling. the normal grip is a little far back in my opinion, but choking up and using the choil works well. It came plenty sharp and D2 should hold an edge very well, I have not given it much use yet. The sheath is decent, but is not quite the quality that i would expect with such a nice knife. It retains the knife well, a little too well in my opinion, it requires quite bit of force to get it in and out. But there is a bit of wobble within the sheath once the knife is in, the knife will not fall out, but it will wobble around in the sheath (hope that makes sense) which is kind of annoying but probably an easy fix if you know how to work kydex.

Its an MKC knockoff… but in a good way.
This knife, in my opinion, is one of the best bang for the bucks on Amazon. Its a high quality knife at a budget price. I would compare this to the Montana Knife Co Blackfoot, but at 1/6th the price. Its cheap enough that i keep it on my plate carrier without the guilt of non-regular use, but quality enough that I would trust it in a pinch.
