This is designed for 1.25" x 1.5" ID pipe. The opening in the coupling is about a 1/8" bigger than the size. Example 1.5" is 1.625"

What is the inside diameter at each end of this fittng?

I used pvc schedule 40 pipe. one end fit 1 1/4 inch perfectly and the other end 1 1/2 inch perfectly both ends were snug. this product worked perfectly for me
