Sarah Candy Factory English Licorice Allsorts (2.5 lbs)

I became addicted and during the next seventy years of my life I kept loving them. Sometimes I found them a bit dry or not quite the the British originals. But this package in a jar keeps them fresh and delectable. I am very happy. As far as English girls are concerned my wife cured me of that addiction. Yes sometimes you have to make big sacrifices in life.

This product is delightful in a couple of ways. First, the pieces are so very fresh and soft, as if they were directly purchased from an English factory or factory store!! Because of their freshness, they are very flavorful, as well. I like the variety of pieces in the container..so often there are many, many plain, somewhat unappealing licorice pieces, but that is not the case with the product from this seller. I am delighted to have found this product and will certainly order this again from this particular seller, as long as the quality is consistent.

The candy was very fresh and soft. The taste is exactly what I’ve come to expect. The resealable bag keeps candy fresh. Good value - 2.5 lbs for reasonable price

This candy is only 1/3rd licorice. The rest is some kind of sugar wafer that has almost no flavor and is way too sweet. The licorice itself is hard to chew and is overpowered by the excessive sugar in the rest of the candy pieces. Product was best by Dec 31, 2022 and had 14 months left before that date and they were still not fresh. I’ve had good fresh licorice and this was Not It. If you are 10 years old you might like this, but I expected licorice and was very disappointed with the product.

Saw these online and it triggered 40 year old memories of eating these with my father when I was young. They had a pretty decent rating, so I bought the huge 5 lb jar. What a disappointment! These are not at all close to the quality of those made decades ago. The pieces seem dry and crumbly, and the licorice flavor tasted phony. The ones from my youth were moist and very flavorful. Maybe I just got a bad batch, but these are way under par. I'll be returning these.

Due to a tick bite, I have Alpha Gal Syndrome. It means that I am now allergic to mammal products. I am still learning to stop and read labels better. So my inability to eat this product isn’t because it wasn’t good.The product was good and delicious. Since I absolutely love licorice, I found this product wonderful. I would strongly recommend it.

If you like the old fashioned licorice, you will love this. This large jar is by far the best value of all that I have seen. And guess what, you even have a nice canister to use when you have consumed all of the candy. It is sooooo good that you may want a set of canisters. Ha, Ha.

Licorice allsorts are my favorite candy. I've had some that were a little fresher, but these are very good. I'm eating my third bag of them.
