How long does a sony 970 battery last with this unit at 100% or 75% brightness? is it dimmer with the 6 aaa batteries? how long 6 aaa batteries last?

I’ve used it with the 6 AA batteries and it wasn’t any dimmer than my other one that was plugged in. I had it on for around 3 hours and it was still shining bright. Never ran it completely dead so I’m not sure how long it will last.

Does it have a dial to control your light source intensity and power?

Yes there is a dial to control light power. It’s not a super fine control, maybe in 5 or 10 % increments, but yes you can dim it.

Can this light be somehow mounted on a light stand?

Yes, there is a 1/4-20 threaded mount on the bottom integrated into the hotshoe mount. Most light stands have a 1/4/-20 stud on top of the 5/8" baby pin stud.

How much of these would I need for a music video

Not sure how your music video will be shooting in what light condition. I use this light for shooting News and Interview and It works great for me. If you would detail your music project then I will try to answer it.
