DS Lemon Yellow, Even Better Than Described!
This 5ml tube of Daniel Smith Lemon Yellow is a vibrant, cheerful, and smooth yellow. Fair warning, on its own is a bit overwhelming, but it mixes well, producing - in my case - brilliant, vivid greens. Winsor and Newton is (and will continue to be ) my "go-to" paint, but, w/ its rich, buttercream consistency, I'm enjoying the DS watercolor experience.FYI: Yes, the tube is TINY! But, as countless others have said, very little goes a very long way! Enjoy!

Great for home portraits
Itโs always so hard to mix a good tan. This is a great color for my watercolor home portraits. It can get a little muddy if mixed with too much gray but for me that was ok as I was painting an old concrete stadium.

Order a larger tube!
Great product but I should have ordered a larger tube.

A little goes a long way.
A great add to my pallet. Works well to soften pigments. Unique on its own as well.

Beautiful Primatek colors
Bloodstone is a beautiful warm deep brown color with lovely granulation. Itโs an amazingly useful color. Rewetting the dried pigment is very easy, and this color is fairly intense without needing much water. Some Primatek colors take a lot of effort to rewet and get much vibrancy from them. Bloodstone is not one of them.

Best USA brand, if not worldwide
Daniel Smith is the best. It's made in America and top quality. Unbelievable pigments sourced from minerals, mostly, from the US. They cost more because they are top quality PIGMENTS, not dyes (that fade, dont perform as well, and glaze poorly) so this is what you get if you or someone you know is taking art seriously. These blend well with other colors, create great shadows, warm up, or cool down a color. Just blown away and very proud of this company. Asian watercolors are for Eastern "papers" & Western watercolor companies perform their best on 100% pure cotton paper, so all of this gets expensive VERY quicky! The tubes are small (most are) with watercolors because you're just staining/glazing the paper. If you're just starting out, get the Cotman field kit (Windsor & Newton) and then these if you're down for the challenge...and this will take YEARS! Most people are "beginners even @ 3 years of working with watercolors. Daniel Smith is one of the newer companies out there and I hope they have the staying power that some of the older companies do because I plan on investing (this will take time) on using this company's watercolor paints exclusively. Yep. That good. Thank you to all the people at this company for making such a high quality, beautiful selections, and original colors. This is the stuff of American dreams.

Tiny tube of excellent paint
Daniel Smith paints are made in States, so are quite expensive here. But they are made from the minerals without a lot of additives, and so are both very intense (a little goes a long way) and have a very pleasing texture. Similar in quality to Schmincke but a greater range of colours available. This one is very bright, so I only wanted the small tube. For colour you intend to use more of, get the 15ml tube-this one v tiny.

Excellent
Elgar can I say about Daniel Smiths Watercolour paints. They are superb. Iโve used them for over 30 years, still not a good artist ๐ก but that is down to me not the paints. The colours and shades are rich and vibrant. A joy to work with.

Significantly overpriced
The amount of paint is tiny, 5ml. There are other sites that sell this paint for a much more reasonable price. The company also charges 30% of the item price as a return fee.

Highly pigmented bright red color. Perfect for painting holiday colors. Itโs just the best red for Santaโs hat and costume. Very highly pigmented. Dispense a very little on palatte fir use. A little goes a long way

Quality
Fantastic paint, highly pigmented and vibrant. A little goes a long way so although it seems expensive when compared to some other brands this paint will probably last longer than many cheaper equivalents. I was unsure of paying so much for a small tube of paint but I am glad I took the chance. I love it! If you like this colour I totally recommend you try it- you will not be disappointed!
