Buy these; you need them.
These are worth every penny. My picky eater 8yo decided poached eggs were his fave breakfast, but I hated the hassle. These work great. Minimal effort, slide out easily (use non stick spray), and have great consistency. They even work in the microwave! I didn’t want to wait to boil water one morning so I put one in the microwave and covered it with a paper towel. 45 seconds later I had the fluffy treat you see in the first pic. I plan on buying a second set bc I have six kids and they have all fallen in love with these eggs. 10 out of 10! Read the instructions for best eggs. Dishwasher safe but also easy to clean by hand.

Everything you could want from a poached egg, thanks to these cute little things.
I cook a LOT. I've just recently "grown up", I guess, and have started to prefer poached to scrambled or fried. I like mine poached medium well, so almost molten and still orangey but not runny. Unfortunately, my poaching pan's cups weren't big enough for my large eggs so I'd have to throw away part of the whites (my favorite part!), and by the time the yolk was to my liking, the white was tough instead of smooth. Just putting the eggs in the water makes a mess and ends up with wet, odd shaped eggs (and the vinegar trick makes the eggs taste vinegary) SO, I got these to try out. They're inexpensive, can definitely hold whatever size eggs you use (obvs not ostrich egg, but who even does that??), and it is SO easy to get the perfectly round and beautiful poached eggs out of the little cups once they're done. I spray just a tad of cooking spray in each cup and salt & pepper them while the white is still clear. Because the eggs aren't in direct contact with hot metal, they come out super tender, which is what a poached egg is supposed to be!

the eggs cook well and come out of the silicone cups quite easily. Sometimes I believe the rounded
Once I figured out the timing that fit us, the eggs cook well and come out of the silicone cups quite easily. Sometimes I believe the rounded, fluted edges take up more space in the pans and I wish they didn't flare as much, but I have compensated with a larger pan. They perform as I wanted them to, and are easily cleaned afterwards. I do spray them ahead of time with a coating of spray oil. I am pleased to have them.

Perfection requires some skill
First time I used I spread butter over the inside of the cups - didn't help much and egg whites stuck to the sides and the yoke fell apart when removing. Second time I didn't use any butter or oil - worse than the first try. Third try I sprayed the inside of the cups with spray oil and they slipped out OK. There was a lot of condensation from the steam on top of the eggs which makes it messy and doesn't look like the nice clean photo you see in the product photos. I usually heat my water to around 190 degrees when poaching eggs directly in water. I tried that and it took over ten minutes to poach with the poaching cups. Next attempts I brought the water to a full boil, dropped in the cups, and eggs were done in about 4 minutes. Overall, the cups help present the poached egg in a cleaner way than eggs dropped in water, but I'm not sure it is worth the effort. For me, it wasn't as straight forward and easy to use as I expected.

Simple Design - Works Perfectly.
I absolutely adore these to bits! I had another set that was very similar to this one, but my mom tried them out and loved them so much that I ended up giving them to her. : ) So far I like this set a bit better, as the bottom's are quite as rounded (ie. a little more stable). You really need very little water when using these - if you add too much you'll have to dab your eggs dry with a paper towel. Though this is also convenient because less water in the pot means that much sooner the water boils and you can get to cooking. For me, I like to cook these for exactly six minutes. They have the perfect "in between" consistency of cooked and dippy. If you prefer them very dippy, try five minutes. And likewise, if you prefer them mostly cooked through, try seven to eight minutes. It really depends on your personal preference, so you may have to experiment a couple times. Once you figure it out though it comes out the same way every time, which I love. <3 Again, just make sure there's not too much water (I add about an inch or so to the bottom of the pot) and that you only add the egg cups AFTER the water has come to a boil (otherwise the cooking times I mentioned above won't line up). Also, muy importante, you should always use a lid to cover your pot with. This helps to make sure that the egg is cooked evenly. I also spray the bottoms with Pam (you could use butter or something of the like though) to keep the egg from sticking. If you do this, the eggs will slip out perfectly and cleaning the cups is a breeze. Just give them a wipe down and they're good. Overall, for this price especially ($4.95 for a pack of four cups at the time of writing this review), this is an amazing deal and I'd purchase this again in a heartbeat. I never knew how easy and just how much I loved poached eggs until I got these. Ps. Oh, I almost forgot! The petals on the rims of the cup are especially helpful! My last ones didn't have that, so I had to use a large spoon to pull them out of the hot water when they were done. Now I can just grab a petal on either side and pull it out with my hands. Very convenient design.

DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was so excited to try these and decided to make breakfast for my sister and nephew. It was a nasty mess. As many of the other reviews have mentioned, cleaning is not easy (I don’t put them in dishwasher), but I could live with that. It’s the cooking process that has driven me to leave this review. First of all, there were absolutely no instruction on use included when they arrived so I looked online. There was a stupid little video. It didn’t show any use of cooking spray so I didn’t use any. First big mistake. The two of the four that were edible I had to scoop out in several pieces to get it out of the damn cup. Secondly, when covered with a lid they filled up with water and became an even bigger mess, soppy, water filled eggs. It was gross. I cannot even begin to explain how disappointed I was. I was going to just throw them away but have decided this piece of crap can go right back to the sender. I’d rather have a pouched egg that is originally placed in a water bath than deal with this piece of crap.

Keep it simple, dummy
Reading the reviews, it is obvious that some people don't know kitchen basics. Here are some tips: 1. Cups are larger than I expected. I was hoping to cook 6 at a time in a large pot, but it really wasn't terrible to do 4 at a time. 2. You only need about an inch of water or they will tip over. Just enough water so the cup is barely floating and doesn't touch the bottom. You want the water at a simmer, not boiling violently 3. Grease the cups lightly. I used butter and my fingers. I would expect that the emulsifiers in cooking spray will eventually gunk up the cups, but do as you please. 4. Break one egg into each cup and season as you like (salt and pepper was perfect). 5. Gently float each cup in the boiling water and cover the pot with a lid. If you don't use a lid, the top surface of the egg may be runny. 6. I used an extra- large egg, cold from the fridge and cooked it for exactly 6 minutes. The size of the egg and it's temperature will impact your cooking time. Adjust your cooking time to your preference. 7. Use your finger to coax each cup unto a slotted spoon and place it on a plate or a dish towel. Use a large spoon to scrape the egg out of the cup and into a bowl. 8. I ordered 2 sets, so I can immediately put the next 4 cups into the simmering water and cook some more. 9. Hand wash. Dishwasher detergent is too harsh and if you use the heat cycle on your machine it will eventually ruin these cups. If you are too germaphobe or lazy to hand wash, do not buy these. [10. You don't need these if you are going to use the microwave. They are not flat bottomed and will tip over. Just use a coffee cup. Also, the yolk will cook just as fast as the white, so the texture will be wrong.] Technically, these make coddled eggs, not poached. The goal is to gently cook the whites so they are not rubbery and leave the yolk slightly runny. However, you can cook them as long as you like and even make hard boiled eggs that you don't have to peel. Egg salad!

Works perfectly!
I absolutely love my egg poachers! They are very easy to use and just a quick wipe, and they are clean and ready to go again. These cook beautifully. I was worried that they may tip over while the water in the pan was boiling because they do tend to float around a bit, but they do not tip. When cooking is done, the egg slides right out with no problem onto your plate. They are also nice because they are stackable and take very little room in the cabinet. Unlike a poaching pan. Would recommend these to anyone looking for egg poachers.

Perfetti
Per le uova 3 minuti (con tuorlo non cotto troppo), per le mini omelette con le erbe aromatiche o altro. Li metto in casseruola con un po’ di acqua e coperchio, se li voglio morbide, cottura è più corta, ovviamente.
