Ok for a starter gimbal
The gimbal has a few nice features and does a decent job at stopping extra hand movement left/right. The telescoping handle and tripod features are nice bonuses. I haven't really used the remote as the button doesn't start recording for TikTok (@thatguyandhiscats), only the iPhone camera. The battery life is my main complaint, as it dies extremely fast (~10-15 min use) and requires a USB C to charge the Gimbal (but Micro USB for the remote). I have never owned a USB C wire and the box included a small micro USB to USB C adapter. The telescoping handle is OK as a selfie stick, but flimsy and hard to balance if fully extended as a tripod.

Decent budget 1-axis gimbal
I have a professional 3-axis gimbal / stabilizer for my DSLR, so I can appreciate the value a gimbal adds to your video work. There's no substitute for stabilized image to make things look and feel professional. This works pretty well given its price point. The cell phone holder is the biggest problem for me, usually. I have a "ruggedized" phone, so it's a bit thicker, having its own built-in case of sorts, and most cell phone holders simply aren't deep enough to accommodate my phone. Well, happily, this one not only holds my thick cell phone, but once you have it properly balanced, it provided a very smooth motion even with my bulky phone. It's also fairly rigid when fully extended, a welcome surprise.The only serious downside to me, is the fact the remote and gimbal head both use different charging ports. The remote is a Micro USB and the gimbal head is USB C. They include a cord with an adapter to fit both. But that unfortunately means you can only charge one bit at a time, using the cords that come with it. A much preferable design would have been to use USB C on both parts and give a Y charge cable to charge both parts at the same time. The one-at-a-time charging setup is the main reason I didn't give this 5 stars.So at the end of the day, it looks kinda cheap, but it works kinda well. You really get a lot of value for your dollar here. Whether you're using it for selfie/vlogging or doing video work for your YouTube channel or whatever, if you want to get into an entry level gimbal to amp up the quality of your video work, I don't think you can find a better deal for less money.This works pretty well for $40, it's hard not to recommend it.
