Unintentionally Hilarious - Comedy for Mal Owners, Pass for anyone else
Look, this is a bad movie. That is unless you own a Malamute and know their true tendencies. I found this movie hilarious for all the wrong reasons as the hero dog consistently failed to do anything heroic while behaving exactly as Malamutes do. When he let his blind companion fall in the river and then just watched with disdain, I laughed until I cried.Mals are wonderful pets. They're funny, they're mischievous, and they enable you to not worry a bit about random sounds at 3am. What they are not is focused on you, or saving you, or helping you. They'd like to be but any malamute owner knows they can only hear the voice in their head.

Good Story, Predictable Outcome, Unrealistic
While this story was unique, it lacked the acting skills to accompany it. Furthermore, there were several events that were either unrealistic or forced to twist the story into a predictable outcome.

Adventure, and Family Friendly
Probably the favorite of the family fun films.this is full of adventure when Chinook and the Blind Brother(Steve Byers)i of Natasha Hinsteridge character. She returnis as the character from the first film returns and is Aunt to the kids in this film. lits of adventure,, excitement and a film for the entire family. Of the 3 this is my favorite. Followed by the first but all are family fun films.

Grandma wanted to cast grandchildren?
Keeping it short - the blind character with military experience would never leave the boat, and, even though blind, could figure out how to turn on the SOS feature on the radio . . . end of movie. It also portrayed the young girl as whiny & incompetent while the boy saved them all . . . hmmm. I feel like the kids' grandma wanted them to break into acting, and this was her way of helping . . . casting them in a home-made movie. The dog was the best actor with limited parts. You can do better with a different movie.

Best Actor...the DOG!
The actors did the best they could with the story. The best actor is the DOG!!! Chinook had no input on the story. The lead actor is portraying a visually impaired person. He lost his sight in an explosion as a soldier in Afghanistan. He is travelling back home by boat. The navigator of the boat is an elderly gentleman who suffers a heart attack. The boat does not have any damages. This former soldier decides the best course of action is to abandon the boat. Naturally, he does not know where the land is located nor if he does find land that it could be one of many islands in the area. To most people, this would be a terrible course of action for a blind person to navigate through unseen terrain. The smart person, especially a blind soldier, would and should stay with the boat. A boat is easier to locate than a person lost in the woods. Now this former soldier begins to panic and is worried about dehydration after being stranded for about 2 hours. About an hour later he is worried about starving. This is a former soldier. He lost his sight at around 19 years of age. I assume he knows about trees and the woods. He hears a helicopter and starts calling out to the pilot. He then takes off his jacket and tries to wave his arms to attract the attention of the pilot. Keep in mind he has a flare gun. I would assume that he did not feel the sunlight on his face since the tree branches and leaves would prevent the possibility of a visual contact in that location. Naturally, his children wanted to search for him on their own. They did not realize that this would result in the search party looking for their father be redirected to search for them. Children are a higher search priority than the father. The story does not get any better. If you do not enjoy reality or common sense and prefer stupidity, then this story is for you. Even the dog does not save this movie.
