This was a Father's Day gift for my husband from our kids. He absolutely loves it! The stones are so nice and the entire gift presentation was fantastic. Plus, we received it a day early! HIghly recommend!

I got this as a gift for my brother, and I think he really really enjoyed it. The box is nicely put together and feels quality. Everything inside has a home, and fits securely. The tumbler is well shaped and apparently spins Whiskey well for smelling, if that is a thing. I don't know. The stones each sit in the tray quite well, and while I'm not known for putting rocks in my drinks my brother loves to toss one or two into his sipping glass now and make weird noises as he sips. He is weird. This is a great gift, and would even do well for yourself if you too like to make weird noises while sipping Whiskey.

I am a casual whiskey/scotch drinker (my partner, however, is quite the enthusiast). I have been to the odd tasting and was told that the best way to really appreciate what is in you are drinking is by using a nosing glass. I have to say, I was a bit skeptical. However, it is 5 p.m. on a Thursday and I just decided to try an Ardbeg - Uigeadail both out of a regular crystal glass *AND* out of this nosing glass so I could write an honest review. (And who doesn't like drinking at 5 p.m. on a Thursday?)In short, I am very impressed. Using the nosing glass definitely brought out the different notes of the scotch -- I can detect the various aromas, and they smell stronger when compared to drinking the Ardbeg out of a regular glass. This, in turn, enhances the flavour of the scotch: it is more full-bodied when consumed with the nosing glass, and almost seems like it could be from a different/more aged bottle. Funnily enough, bring in your nose, and the character of the drink is enhanced, too. Well, I guess I am converted!Other things to consider:PROS+ The glass looks exactly like the images shown+ While this glass loosely follows the Glencairn style, it is slightly different (I would argue, more contemporary?): The shape is more pronounced and it lacks a base. It reminds me of some wine glasses I have seen+ A decent size; lightweight+ The glass is of good quality and while it is not the finest crystal, it does make a higher-pitched clinking sound than regular glasses do+ Gorgeously packaged: this glass comes in a fancy box and is well padded/protected. One downside is the foam in the box has a synthetic/plastic smell to it that does wear off on the glass a bit (nothing a rinse under the tap can't fix). The packaging does make the glass a delight to unwrap.+ Affordable and giftable at approx. $50 (at time of review)+ Comes with whiskey stones! I like the whiskey stones; they are small enough to fit two or three comfortably in the glass and their variety in colour makes them that much more of a pleasure to look at. They retain temperature well enough but they won't keep your drink cold for hours (not that I expect you could make a drink last for hours -- unless you have incredible self-control, anyway)+ The whiskey stones come with a wooden tray which makes storing them easyCONS- Not the highest grade 'crystal' -- glass connoisseurs will be able to tell the difference. This is not an issue for me, as I am a woman of simple tastes.- It would have been great if there was a set of tongs with the whiskey stones; you don't exactly want to drop these in the glass on the chance they could scuff it

The packaging is very fancy and sophisticated. This made a wonderful gift for my boyfriend and he loved it. The chimney glass was much appreciated as well. 100% recommend.

The stones are fantastic but what spoils it, for the price, is the quality of the glass. Cheap and nasty! I would have given it a 4 star as the box and stones are great but because of the glass 3 star.
