I am a mechanical engineer by profession so tend to research a product drilling down into the quality of the item before I buy. There are batteries and then there are others. I purchased this battery because I bought a One Plus right angle drill and didn't want to keep swapping batteries. The battery is a good fit and charges on my Ryobi fast charger. The battery has a little button to press indicating charge level. The battery performs well, as well as an original Ryobi battery. The build quality is good. I have been using the battery for months now with no faults. Embarrassingly for Ryobi, this battery actually is better than the original Ryobi as it indicates when fully charged when in the fast charger as indicated by the charger LEDs whereas the Ryobi battery stopped doing this after a few months. As a cheap battery it's not the cheapest but I always say you get what you pay for. So this battery is a good compromise between price and quality. I certainly would by another and so have no difficulty in recommending to others. Go buy!

Good copy batteries charge up easily don't hold the charge as long as original ones but do the job

Bought this battery for my Ryobi tools, had the smaller batteries but not a 5.0Ah. It is very good lasts a lot longer than the smaller batteries and a lot cheaper than Ryobi. The only thing you have to think about is it's a bit heavier than a small battery

I've been using two of these now for around 8 months. I have three original Ryobi batteries and I really can't see any power difference at all. I have a wide range of Ryobi gear so I've thoroughly test them. The only ever so minor negative point is that the attaching and detaching is possible not as smooth as with the original unit. And perhaps the battery life is 10% less. But these issues are insignificant and for the price difference I can't justify buying any more original Ryobi batteries.

I read a few reviews of this battery and honestly could not warrant paying £70+ for the genuine Ryobi so I took a gamble and went for it. Out of the box it felt solid and fitted my tools fine - it also seemed to dispense power smoothly unlike some other reviews which said it could not deliver quick enough for high power applications. However, I’ve now used it 4 times and with each use the run time of my mower has reduced despite more favourable conditions (very dry grass, sharp blade, 7-10 days between cuts). Today from a full charge it read 3 remaining bars when I finished my small front lawn but within 1 stripe of my back one it cut out completely flat - awful. By contrast my old but genuine 4ah Ryobi battery (smaller capacity) will cut both lawns, strim edges and still not be flat. Really disappointing.

I've not used this on any really amp heavy devices but the battery works fine in my drills and my handheld hoover. The battery seems to be holding charge well, even when stored in my cold workshop. The charge lights are a great addition and make it easy to check on the life left. Over all I can't argue for the money. But it does depend on how long till the lifespan per full charge starts to drop.
