Perfect Size
My go-to energy source! This is compact, convenient, durable yet easy to squeeze that has been flawless. The flow for my maple syrup is smooth, getting that quick energy I need in just a quick easy squeeze. The top pops into place securing it as I have not had it leak on me yet. This is right up my alley as an endurance athletic that I use for mtb, gravel, road and fat-biking. I could not ask for a better product that fits my needs and wants. Super easy to clean. For the price, it has paid for itself ten times over if I were to consistently use gels, such a great investment. Well worth the purchase!

Ideal if your energy gel is maple syrup
.. or same consistency. I originally tried using Gu branded gel flasks, but the twist top was not so useful when cycling (I use these for endurance MTB & gravel cycling events). Holding the flask with one hand and trying to twist open it with my teeth while pedaling, the entire cap would start to twist off making an awful mess of gel/syrup all over my hand and the bike. These flasks are much more convenient. The pull-top opening is much easier and trouble-free; just a quick pull to pop it open and give a quick squeeze and you're good to go. Then snap it closed with your thumb (or pop it against your helmet) and it's sealed and ready to stow away, leak free.Your only other consideration is what you use for energy gel. I probably wouldn't use these for GU gel, honey or anything with a similar (thicker) viscosity. I'm not sure how well those would flow through the cap opening. Personally I use organic maple syrup for my energy gel and it's the perfect consistency; no matter the temperature it's thin enough to flow.

Great as a Triathlon (or running race) Flask!
I am a Triathlete who does mostly Olympic and Half Ironman Distance races. I have bought a bunch of flasks trying to find the best for gels and liquids for my bike storage and a my TriSuit pockets. This is the best I have found. Size is great (fits all my trisuit pockets and my Tribike built in storage container). Great top (closes tightly/no leaking, easy to open with teeth and close), gets liquids out great. Slides in and out of pockets great. The only thing I would have changed is not having the base of it so firm (hard to squeeze out last bits of gels). However, compared sooo favorably to all others I tried. The rest had many flaws (too big, doesn't close well, hard to consume while running, material sticks/rather than slides into pockets etc). I have bought 8 of these so far and just ordered 6 more (want to make sure I have a bunch if they for some reason become unavailable.

Works perfectly.
Holds honey or sweetened condensed milk with no leaking. Pop top is secure, I don’t use my teeth to open, just my fingers as it takes some force. I use them while cycling, much easier to use than the small GU packs. Fit easily in rear jersey pockets. Clean up is easy. Buying another set as I’m going to try to complete a century this year.

A Good Option for Races
These gel flasks are great. I run 3 to 4 marathons a year. My coach convinced me to switch from energy gels to a simple carbohydrate. This translated to using maple syrup for fuel during long training runs and marathons. The flow with syrup is just right with a little squeeze. Plus the flasks don't leak, so my pocket doesn't get sticky during the race. I like these gel flasks.

Great alternative to energy gel packaging
I really loved this idea because I hate how energy gels are packaged. They cut the side of my mouth, they are hard to open when you are running, and they become a sticky mess no matter how careful you are. These flasks are made of a pretty hard plastic, but they are actually very easy to squeeze. I was able to put two gels in each of them, and I mixed the gels with a little bit of water. I also used them with liquid energy gels which didn't need extra water. I was surprised at how easy they are to clean and they are very light. They are easy to open and close and fit in my pocket easily. I did have one major fail with them during an actual marathon, though. I put them in a pocket where they were pretty free to move around, and the cap came unscrewed and dumped the whole bottle of chocolate gel down my leg. My mistake, but make sure the cap is screwed on tight and the nozzle is closed before you go running.

The perfect size and quality
Fantastic . Perfect for airplane travel. No leaking, no smell, great quality and a great value for the money. I'm ordering others to give as gifts to friends.

Leaky, holes too small
Leaked all over everything. The holes are also too small for homemade gel to pass through.
