CTEK (56-958) MUS 4.3 POLAR 12 Volt Fully Automatic Extreme Climate 8 Step Battery Charger

CTEK MUS 4.3 Polar Extreme Climate is rated to -22° F ..and so far it hasn't been colder than that. The review is about the cold weather rating, and about the 8 stage charging feature. I wanted to have a battery maintainer to prevent the battery from freezing. It killed all the vehicles batteries last winter because the battery charger maintainer was actually only good to 32° F. The problem wasn't the amps. It was the temperature rating of the device. I would be satisfied however I noticed much better battery charger performance. The car doesn't just start, it starts with vigor. It continues to perform all day no matter how many short trips I have on a cold day. I wouldn't know how much more because it is on the charger in the garage at night. I have the impression the 8 stages of charging is conditioning the battery, in effect bringing the battery up to brand new battery performance. Maybe someone can explain that? At any rate, I am happy with it. I purchased the eyelet cord to leave in place on the truck. I will use some twist ties to run it out the grill for convenience, and keep the hood closed. I can plug in at many locations here. I am reluctant to leave this beautiful charger on the ground. I will purchase the bracket holder to mount it out of sight when I have to use it away from home.

This product is the best for the price I see anywhere on internet by far. Some others product was 2 and 3 times the price of this item and lower quality. The charger is really small. Build quality is amazing, will last very long time. I use it every weeks on 2 family's cars and to help friends also. This item is specially designed for really cold weather and it's true. I use it at minus 23 celcius one time and works as fast as when I charge around zero celcius. There's is a battery reconditioning feature, Recommended 1 time a year. I think it's take 1 day for reconditioning at very cold weather but don't know if faster at hot weather. I received it some weeks ago this winter. Also the charger will remove by itself if necessary acid fumes inside the battery to improve its Efficiency. Using this charger often will double the life of your battery. Me and my dad almost not use ours cars so battery lower really fast and this item is an impressive buy. Very thanks for this product, the price was on sale and so much better then others sellers, was the last one so very lucky. I'm a real buyer, the best buy of your life in Canada cold weather. Use it on Costco and other battery using the Same AGM technologies. This charger charge at more high voltage so the best recommendation to buy if using for battery buy in cold weather area. You charge using cold weather feature even if 30 Celsius outside on all car's battery buy in cold weather area because technologies is different then hot USA areas for exemple. So if you life in Florida don't buy this one. There is a different model from this same manufacturer for you at lower price. This Polar version is also able to charge in hot areas battery technology so very flexible product.
