This kit worked so well I bought a second one so as to cover all four zones while having a second receiver in the house. Range is fantastic. I'm on a large city lot and the sensors will reach the receivers from anywhere, through walls and floors. Most users will find the lower sensitivity setting best. I notice one buyer who mounted a sensor on a tree getting false alerts. Well, if the tree moves, the sensor is only doing it's job by reporting the motion. Mount these on a building or a stake driven into the ground. Under the eaves is best. Although these are outdoor units, don't push your luck with rain. Excellent design - on "Alert" setting you get a distinctive "beep" for each zone and a visual indication. Multiple zone alerts are supported with the distinctive beeps presented in turn. On "Alarm"setting beware there is an ear-splitting siren. Surprising for such a tiny unit but potentially effective. The "Alert" option is comfortable. No false alerts/alarms whatsoever. Very stable. Versatile ball-and-socket mount. You can slide the sensor off to replace batteries without popping the ball-and-socket.Speaking of batteries, my kit came with sensors using two "AAA" cells each. As I have been using only three weeks the jury is still out re battery life. To replace once a month would be acceptable if a bit annoying. No sign of battery draw-down so far.Small glitch. Initially the receivers would not "learn" to recognize the sensors. I soon discovered that for first time use, clear the receiver memory as clearly described in the manual. After that, no problems. An easy five stars and at this price, a real bargain in an effective intrusion alert system.Update after three and one half months use (14 weeks) ... Despite my initial concern, those AAA are going strong and no reduction in range. If you are still worried about battery life and/or cold weather operation, consider lithium batteries. Those of you getting false alerts should re-check the environment very carefully. I have had other intrusion systems triggered by house plant leaves or curtains. It doesn't take much, especially in winter if you have a furnace blowing air around. In one of my outdoor locations I had to prune some shrubbery near the garage door to prevent triggering but perfect now. Consider everything. Have someone else take a look ... a fresh set of eyes might spot something that moves you have overlooked.

I've had these sensors set up for one entire winter (we got several days at -50c) and to my surprise these little sensors worked perfectly through the whole winter. Also of note, they are still running on the same lithium aaa batteries I set them up with 6 months ago, not bad at all for battery life. Reasonably easy set up. The beep is loud enough to hear but not so loud that it's startling. The Alarm setting is VERY LOUD, you could never miss it! Communication distance between base and sensors is pretty good (mine is at 120 feet, no problems) Long distance detection on the sensors is about 15-20 feet at best, so not great, but perfectly effective. Overall, not too bad for the price! Would recommend to anyone for additional Home security.

I don't know if I went through the worst of luck or is it that this product is the worst!When I've first received this product I was very happy, great packaging, all the parts were here. One of the sensor had a crack on it but I ignored it because I didn't think it would be so much trouble since it didn't come internally damaged. Overwhelmingly excited I got it up within 2 hours... The first few times it beeped when people were passing by it... But after half an hour it stopped working when people were passing by it... I was turning it on and off to get it going but it just gave me a red blinking screen on the first sensor... The second sensor performed better but it still missed a lot of people passing. The range is only 15 ft for the first sensor and 50 for the second one, the second one missed 80% and it keeps blinking red. For an expensive item like this I would've expected more quality.I am attempting to return this item, but I threw away the box after receiving it, trusting this product was going to work as promised.

I purchased this to use sensors in a garage and parked RV. For the first few weeks the everything worked as it should. I was very happy with the product. Then every week or so we would notice that the sensors were not triggering a motion alarm. A quick unplug of the receiver would correct the issue. due to the low price of this system i would be willing to live with a periodic power cycle of the receiver.Fast forward a few months and now it does not seen to be working at all. I have attempted to reset and reprogram the sensors multiple times without success. I have replaced sensor batteries etc again without success. Based on the price I am not too upset, but do not recommend this product.I provided a two star rating due to price and the fact that it did do a great job when it actually worked.-Peter CCalgary AB, Canada
