Great value for the money, very nice sub $100 reel.
Reviewing the Shimano Sahara C3000HG. Was looking for a small light reel to fish off my kayak with. This model holds 200 yards of 10 lbs braid, retrieves 36”/crank, has 20 lbs of drag (not that I’ll ever use it but wow for a little reel), and weighs in at 8.8 oz. This is not a saltwater reel but that’s where I use it exclusively. With a good rinse after each trip this thing is holding up nicely. Like new actually. Very happy with the buy. I’d get another if it went overboard in a heartbeat.

Great reel with great price. Shimano makes great reels at all price points. Only wished the reel had reverse retrieve.

One of my go to reels!
I wasn't a very avid fisherman until recently, and then I learned the difference between a good reel and a cheap reel. This reel has very fluid movement and can cast the distance. I definitely enjoy this reel because of how big and how easy it is to adjust on the go and how fine tuned you can make this! Haven't pulled in the monster yet, but will someday soon! Definitely has good action and slow enough reel to attract bass, crappie, and catfish!
