Swiss Diamond 3.8 Quart Nonstick Saute Pan with Lid - Dishwasher Safe and Oven Safe Saute Pan, Grey

So I never write reviews (this is my first one), but this pan deserves it. Aside from my Shun knives, this is the best and most important item in my kitchen. I used to mess around with cheap sets of non-stick, such as Rachael Ray, Fagor, etc. I realized that I was using the saute pan more than anything else to the point of it wearing out, then ended up replacing the whole set. Finally, it dawned on me, why not just buy one really nice saute pan since I use it all the time?After much research I decided on this Swiss Diamond. It is AMAZING. Nothing sticks to it, you literally don't have to scrub it at all, just use a sprayer and dry it off and you are done. The heat distribution is far superior than anything I have used. I honestly believe the food I am cooking is better - and my family agrees.My advice is to buy a cheap set of non-stick so you have everything you need, but get a really nice saute pan of good size like this one. You won't regret it!

Do not warp, easy to clean and heats evenly

This is the most used item in my kitchen. Until this purchase, I never knew it was possible to cook breakfast sausages evenly without rotating the pan and moving things around like that stupid sliding tile puzzle game thing. The one where the plastic tile pieces always break off. It was frustrating. Now my food cooks evenly. Nothing sticks to this pan, which is great for me because I hate spending time cleaning dishes. This is broiler safe and oven safe and, that combined with easy cleanup, I may never use a baking dish again. Because why would I?Basically, this pan is worth every penny. It is a worthwhile investment. You should buy this.

To me the price is worth it. I know what the cons are and I've chosen to accept them

This is a replacement for my previous hard anonized nonstick pan by Berndes. This pan does not heat up as quickly as my old pan, and the heat distribution is weird/uneven. The nonstick quality is fine. The quality is good, but I don't think it's as good as my previous pan. HOWEVER it's almost impossible to find a pan of this size/diameter so I will keep it for now.

Over the years we have gone through several nonstick pans, which seem to wear out quickly and not be able to withstand much heat at all. We very much like the Swiss Diamond Saute Pan, which is nonstick at any setting of the stove we use with it, even high heat. The relatively high sides and 12" diameter make it big enough to cook a large amount at one time, good for leftovers. The glass lid is also very good, with a setting in the knob which allows us to vary the amount of steam escaping. The handle is quite fine and does not get hot in use, something we were initially concerned with for a metal handle.

Swiss Diamond is an excellent product. Heat distribution is even with this well made cast aluminum cookware. The non-stick diamond infused coating cleans easily with dish soap and water even when pan/s are still hot. I like to use butter, canola and or olive oil to cook with. Have found that less is more using oils, but caution do not over heat above burning point of selected oils. The glass lid is tempered and has an steam vent. The vent is easily removed for cleaning as necessary. This sauté pan is great for southern fried chicken; your favorite pasta; stroganoff; stir-fry.

We bought this Swiss Diamond saute pan to replace an identical pan that we have been using regularly for years and years. The "replaced" pan finally lost its ability as a non-stick pan. I'm not certain why that happened, but we liked the pan so much that we had to get the same one again. These Swiss Diamond pans are expensive but they work so well and clean up with dish soap, warm water and a little bit of rubbing with a soft sponge. I believe they advertise dishwasher safe, but they are so easy to clean that I never put them into the dishwasher. The pans take a little longer to warm up... you need to be patient and apply only medium or medium-high heat. Once hot, they cook food beautifully. But the huge bonus is the non-stick surface! I expect that this new pan will last at least 10 years! Worth the money, in my mind.

The perfect pan size and cooks like a charm. worth every penny!
