Good sound for the application.
Replaced two speakers mounted in carport ceiling with these. The old speakers bass coil had open circuits. These fit right into the existing grills. They sound very good in this semi outdoor environment. The volume and sound reproduction are both good.

Replacement Speaker for Outdoor Rock Speaker
Order this as a replacement for a blown outdoor rock speaker. Was as easy replacement and has good overall sound for an outdoor rock speaker. Original lasted for around 5 years so I expect to get about the same amount of time out of this one.

Excellent sound
I ended up returning this speaker due to a change in plans for my project, but I have to say that the sound quality was excellent. I was running it with a small mono amp board that was "rated" at 100 watts into 4 ohms @ 24 volts. In reality, it was probably closer to 50'ish watts @ 24 volts, and since this speaker is 8 ohms, it was more like 30 watts. But even at that wattage, the response was beautiful. I ran it in a box that was really too small to get any low end going, but I'm sure if it was in a proper box the bass would've been great, as it was decent in the small box. I will be ordering two of these again in the near future as I've come up with a new project idea for them.

Pleasantly surprised!
I needed an inexpensive coaxial 8 inch speaker to use as a live audio monitor, mounted in the cabinet I already owned. My only complaint so far is that the holes are not exactly aligned on the frame so I could only mount it with three screws instead of four. It is a fairly lightweight speaker however, so I think the three screws will hold it fine. I auditioned it today and was pleased with its full frequency response and clarity. The tweeter is a bit brittle, but at this price range, I was not expecting it to be smooth. I have not gigged with it as yet so I can’t speak to the longevity, but so far I’m feeling good about the purchase. Everything is over priced these days due to inflation and although I think this is a bit higher in price that it would have been a few years ago, the price was not a deterrent, so I consider this to be a good purchase and would recommend it to someone needing a full range 8 inch coaxial speaker for low power application.
