This is perfect for rounding up the kiddos from recess and would most certainly work to scare off someone or an animal if you were walking or running alone. I only gave it 4 stars because it is loud in the extreme even on the lowest setting. I will be cautious to not sound it indoors. It sounds like a smoke detector going off. Outside, used as directed, it will do exactly what I purchased it for.

This puppy gets really loud! I am a PE teacher and it's very useful in the gym. I've had a handful of different whistles over the years, this is probably the loudest, and it's priced really well. The one thing that I don't like is that when you drop it, the back flies off and the batteries come out EVERY time. I try not to drop it, but it happens a couple times a week.

As a teacher who always has recess duty, this whistle has been a lifesaver! The sound and volume are adjustable, which is perfect for our large playground. I don't have to worry anymore about germs on my old whistle. Simply push the button for as long or short as needed to get the attention of the students.

This is perfect for our very large playground. With 175 5th gradets all playing at the same time, I needed something that would distinguish my alert from the other 6 teachers. I picked 4 stars because 3 of the 4 sounds are a little too much like the fire drill. Only one sound is more like a whistle. I only use it outside and I always repeat the same whistle pattern so the kids are used to it now. At first, it scared everyone. Oh, and I have to be careful to make sure it is completely in the off position so I don't bump it when we are inside. Soon after I got it, I missed off by one click and scared everyone in the hall!

Variable tones and volumes are great.

I use this everyday at recess. It’s as easy as pressing a button. I bought these as gifts for my other two teammates.

Really loud

Love it works really well be careful though it is very loud. If it goes off by accident people do wonder what's happening. I use it with my dog but it's too loud which is a good thing so for security it's great

I work with kids and during COVID I couldn't use a regular whistle. I now prefer this because I can hold it over my head, which broadcasts the sound better and saves my ears. I can leave it safely in it's storage pouch and it can still be heard the width of the play-ground, even on the lowest volume.

Nothing to complain!!

It's good - does what it is meant to be used for. I use it in gym class. The tones are more of a different pitch of "chirps"... not different sounds.
