Necessary to properly maintain the pocket of your glove
The manufacturer advertises this product for use while breaking in gloves, but I find it more useful for maintaining the pocket. After games or practices, I always put a ball in the best part of the pocket, then wrap up the glove to keep it there before putting it into my bag. I find this practice greatly prolongs the functionality of my gloves, as they are much less likely to deform.I gave this 4 stars because in my opinion, the elastic band is just not quite wide enough. It's about 3 inches across and it's sewn into a circle, like a giant wide rubber band. You just stretch the whole thing over your glove to put it on. The band does work to keep the glove closed, but I prefer to have a wider band to provide pressure from all around the pocket, helping the glove to cradle the ball while it rests.As an alternative, I recommend the Hot Glove Deluxe Glove Wrap, which is wider and includes a slit in the middle of the band so you can slightly modify the direction from which pressure is applied. The Hot Glove version also uses a velcro closure, as opposed to the sewn loop design employed here. Either product will help you maintain your glove, and should dramatically extend its useful life.

Good value
One of these wraps lasted about 5 years before it came apart( Elastic frayed). I used it every week for my softball glove. Exceeded my expectation.

I used to wrap a new glove with a belt to help form it. This is so much easier and quicker.

Cheaply made
This item is not worth it. I bought it to keep my daughter’s catcher glove wrapped to keep the pocket. We had it 1 month and it ripped.
