CURT 45785 Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter, 1-1/4 to 2-Inch, 6-1/4-In Extension, 350 lbs

It took me about 5 minutes to install the hitch. It doesn't stick out too far and works great on my 2011 Toyota Prius. I can still raise the hatch! There is some mild movement of the bike carrier, but am not fearful of the bikes. I ordered 2 pin sizes, just to be safe. Not sure if the description gives the size pin needed. Would have saved me a little. Great product.

I needed an adapter from 1.25" to 2" but for a Class I hitch. I found some other adapters but many people complained that the depth on a Class I and a Class II hitch is different (Class I being shorter) and that many adapters are intended for the Class II... but this one fit like a glove. However... after buying this adapter I notched that Harbor Freight also has an adapter of this type for half the cost... but I don't know if it will fit the Class I... but if you live nearby a Harbor Freight it might not hurt to try theirs first... One last thing... as many other stated... the adapter DOES NOT come with the pin, nut, etc... shown in the picture... *** Update: After the first use I realized that because my car is so low to the ground I needed a hitch riser... I ended up buying a 2" hitch riser and adding it to this adapter... because it also distanced the hitch rack from the vehicle hatch... However.. they have hitch riser adapter that will go directly from 1.25" to 2" with the rise... I am still giving it a 5 because the issue is with my vehicle being too low... not with the adapter.

This adapter is strong and sturdy. It fit perfectly on my existing hitch and my bike rack fit perfectly onto it. Couldn't be more pleased with the price and the quality! I gave it 4 stars only because it didn't include a bolt which is not a big deal.
