Road Top Wireless CarPlay for Audi A4 A5 S4 S5 RS4 RS5 Q5 3G MMI

Install was easy, setup took a couple YT videos to nail down the right settings. It works great, I get in the car and it loads Waze and Spotify NP, but not having a touch screen is really detrimental. Controlling the interface with the Audi control knobs it a real PITA. I don't think the AA interface works well without a touchscreen, I have to stop myself from touching the screen every time i want to change something. I would still recommend this to my friends but I would tell them get the one that comes with the larger 8.9" replacement screen.

Works perfectly, easy setup, the connectivity is great, turns it on instantly the moment you turn on the car, only downside is that Siri constantly turns on by itself and it doesn’t mute the music when you talk to her. Everything else flawless!

easy installation woks amazingly well

This has been the most frustrating piece of equipment I’ve ever bought. I’ve had it for over a year and I can’t believe I haven’t ripped it out of the dash yet. For about 6 months it was great, but now it never connects to my phone, and if it does it doesn’t stay connected. Half the time it freezes and doesn’t let me use the MMI because it takes control of all your buttons including the volume knob so when it freezes you can’t even listen to music or change the volume. The only remedy is to fully turn your car off and start over which guarantees nothing. If you like looking at a frozen screen like the one pictured or just getting a black screen without the use of your stereo, please buy this product. I will be removing it this week for sure.

I bought a different kind of unit years ago for more money, and it didn't work. This one was plug-and-play and has loads of settings. The installation was straightforward. I recommend this unit! It brings my car into the current world of tech. They also have Whatsapp and email support. For reference. I have a 2013 Audi S4. Running Android Auto with a Pixel 8 Pro.

2011 A5 Cabriolet. Connection was easy. I suggest YouTube videos. There doesn’t seem to be any degradation to sound quality. Audi MMI controls still work and work with this system. Suggestions - MMI controls are cumbersome Playlist - make them and use them.. Navigate - enter the address on your IPhone before departure. When attempting to remove the radio keys push the tabs on the side of the radio (silver) harder then you would think and pull the keys harder then you think at the same time. For the wifi antenna. It fits perfectly beneath the AC controls and from what I’ve read it’s not that powerful and needs to be closer to the phone.. Make sure to plug the Aux adapter into the MMI interface in the glove box or the system won’t work I would recommend this to anyone wanting to update their system.

Was able to install myself but it took 4 hours. Works 95% of the time as it should. The other 5% it forgets to turn on. OE functions still work when CarPlay is glitching so I would recommend. Have been using for about 3 months now. 2014 Audi Q5

I have a 2014 Audi S4 with the 3G MMI. I was able to follow the directions to get this installed, but man it took me a while. I used YouTube tutorials to assist with the install. I had a few hiccups getting it to start but it works great now. The antenna has no issues so far (mine is located behind the AC control unit). The only annoying thing is it seems to always be on and trying to connect my phone via Bluetooth and carplay. I am unsure if there is a setting to have it turn off with the car.

Love this. Long overdue purchase. Easy to install with various YouTube videos out there. Can do that and fully customize it within an hour. Based on the instructions I was worried that the rear view OEM camera would require extra complicated installations (because I had a manual transmission) but luckily that did not end up being the case. So far only one day in but works flawlessly so far - very happy.

An absolute MUST HAVE! Phenomenal product. Despite the instructions being in broken English and abysmal, if you have the slightest electrical inclination, it’s hard to mess up. Audio quality doesn’t suffer either, and the retention of the OE system with this added CarPlay system is amazing to have. Wireless connection every time without failure, no issues. 10/10 product, very snappy and responsive too. Instructions 5/10, also, please update your installation “guides” you provide via QR Code on YouTube

Shipped very quickly and the CarPlay works as intended. It was a bit tricky with installing and having everything fit, but with some videos I was able to put it all together in about 2 hours. The installation instructions are pretty good but they could be a bit more descriptive. The dashboard removal video seemed short - only shows you how to remove but could have included how to put everything back together. I also figured out that you don’t need to have some cables connected like the USB one if you have a reverse camera from factory. That would have been helpful to know, but again figured that out myself. Some people had talked about other CarPlay systems not working great with the B&O sound system but mine was fine. Phone calls also had no issue. I’m hopeful that all of this remains without issue!

Package Amazon box was all ok. Opened Amazon box and road top box... bashed in from factory. Unit damaged from manufacturer.
