I am concerned of the long term usage of the product because of the iodine content. Anyone has been using this for more than a year or two?

I've used it for less than a year. Are you thinking that the natural iodine in seaweed is harmful in some way? I couldn't find any evidence of side effects from the iodine (web search etc.). Does it have a strong odor?

It does not have any real odor - my problem was that even a hint of Plaque Off in their food turned them off and they wouldn't eat their food. Discouraging to say the least.
