Everyone I've shown these to loved them they're super easy to use just watch out when you press the button to release I hit myself in the face the other day while using one on a friend. Other than that they're way better than the rubber straps

Occasional dud, overall great value
I've purchased more than one of these packs now. It seems like on average probably one out of five will not grip appropriately - when you pull the band taut and release, it just relaxes again instead of staying tight until the buckle is released.With that said, these are extremely inexpensive compared to the other plastic options out there, and the difference is even greater compared with the metal hardware versions. I can't seem to locate those for private party purchase, so these are the next best thing. The buckles do eventually fall apart, but it's just as likely that I will lose it or have it terminally soiled. Plus, I occasionally have a coworker or student who really likes it, so it's nice to have several cheap ones on hand to be able to give one away.
