Excellent for weatherguard
Replaced OEM weather guard saddlebox (24lb lid) toolbox with the 65psi version. These were a hair shorter than the original, but I wanted my lid to not hyperextend and wobble. I chose the higher pressure so that i can open the lid with one hand—just a press of the button and it releases consistently & controlled, stopping short of vertical. Easy to close (one hand). Received within 24 hours of ordering. Did not use the mounting hardware, which couldn’t be used with my setup anyway. Can’t assess the longevity, but for the price & superior functionality (for my liking), I’d be okay replacing them every year. Thanks!!!

I thought Shocks were good, but they are not . Brackets are flimsy.
Struts work okay L-shaped bracket is flimsy. Had to purchase better brackets but the shocks should work fine.UPDATE. Bought 3 pairs and already 2 of the 6 are failing.

Seem accurate to pound rating. I went from stock 35 pound rating on my truck canopy up to 45. Now it will stay open with only one side installed and requires decent force application to close with both installed, just the way I like it. I would not recommend going over 10 additional pounds for a truck canopy above what it came with stock. My 2 cents.

Support
I bought the struts to support the lid for a large box I built. They work great, but, it took some time to figure out the placement. The instructions for installing them are on the packaging box but are so small that I had to use a magnifying glass and bright light to read it. Even then, there's not much info and still not clear for measurements. The QR code on the box for installation takes you to a YouTube video that shows how to replace the struts on a car hood. Lack of clear installation instructions is why I gave it three stars, otherwise I would have given it five.
