Q: Can this be used with pure essential oils for a Reed diffuser?

Yes, it can. It works really well. I bought it for the same reason. Took me a while to work out how much essential oil to mix to get sufficient smell from the diffuser. 80ml Augeo 20ml essential oils for 100ml container works for me.

Q: Do I need to add alcohol or is it good to go?

It's ready to go- just add fragrance concentrate (small quantity only needed).
