Reflecting on Life, Love and Loss
Desney's words beckon, extending an invitation of choices. She gives a lesson that is shy of a warning and conveys through a glance away, an untried, protected heart. Her fisherman with his empty fishing hook dreams of love to fill in an empty space in his solitary life and we are charmed by his contentment.Desney navigates her loss through deliberate reverence and tribute to one, we are told, who parted seas and dared to dream. The turmoil of loss compels her to want darkness and silence that she can not have, and because of loss, she reveals a startling distinction between carrying dead loss and living loss.

joy, liberty
My heart was moved. My eyes saw the colors of feelings. What an experience! Desney Avery's 'Sweet Lover of the Morning Dew' embodied passion, pain, joy, liberty, and whatever else my heart could muster up! I smiled. I thought. I felt. I remembered. With every page I turned, I took an even deeper journey into my own life, love, and loss. And I loved it! Desney's writing gives voice to a generation of past, present, and future. It shows strength and how she endured. It gives us all hope that we can take each moment and turn them into something beautiful, even in the pain. I love, love, LOVED IT!

Get ready to feel all the feels!!
Nothing has moved me like this in quite a long time!! My heart is so open right now. Have you ever tried to hold something bottled up inside but feared the slightest little bump would just make you burst and leave you raw and exposed? This is that little bump. Excellent job!
