I needed these for Ash Wednesday. They went on the forehead without a problem and were visible. I could not have been more pleased!

I should have taken the other reviews to heart when I ordered this vile of ashes from Village Gift Importers.The bottom line is this: The ease of use (making the sign of the cross on someone's forehead is great as it doesn't require any mixing with oil. HOWEVER, there is NO WAY there is enough in the vile to be used for 100 people. The quantity was one third full in a three inch vile.Disappointed with this purchase.

the number of people represented that it could be used for not even close to the one represented in the add. We ordered based on that number and we ran short.
