Pahari Roots White Sticky Rice from Meghalaya | 2 kgs | Traditionally Grown

Good Product. I liked the stickiness as well as light aroma after cooking. Initially I was sceptical about the product and ordered for one packet for trial. But later I ordered for two other packets and found it excellent compared to other. I always prefer to take it with Amul Butter and normal salt. Tastes awesome. However, the price is on high side.

The first time we ordered this, it wasn't tasty. We're guessing because we picked it up off season. Sticky rice is available fresh in winters, so this time we ordered it with hope and it didn't let us down.. it was yummy, nutty, yummy..This is the NE sticky rice.. not to confused with Thai rice or Japanese rice, etc.

This is a great sticky rice and I turned out a wonderful Chinese fried rice using this product. Have to be careful next time because it absorbs a lot of water… can’t let it become mushy next time. Highly recommended.

Broken rice and not pure glutinous rice it mixed with regular rice

I was so excited to recived this product becuz i was missing my locally grown sticky rice from my hometown Meghalaya by checking it i got disapointment becuz it is mixed with sticky rice and normal rice as you can see in picture i have provided the sticky rice grain is more whiteir then normal ricegrain for that much price product quality is so cheap

I bought this to make Assamese Til pitha, which requires sticky Bora rice. Since it's not available where I live, I tried with this one. And let me tell you, it came out beautifully (see pic).This rice has a light nice aroma, and can be used to make other sticky rice recipes easily. And lastly, Pahari roots products are highly recommended. I am also using their mandarin honey and Sichuan pepper.

I had been looking for the Assamese borasaul (sticky rice) and stumbled on to this product. I am all pro supporting local produce of small farmers, so bought it. And the rice turned out to be fabulous. I have an Assamese relative who would have liked to say that this is inferior, but she too agreed that this rice is really good. Lovely aroma and nice amount of stickiness. I use less than 2 times the water actually and put on low flame in a cooker. The net result is just like borasaul. Highly recommended for those who love glutinous rice. I am going to use this for risotto as well.

Except for packing it’s good item.. rice is sticky and have brown glaze shine after cooking. Good for sticky rice of North eastern dishes.
