Excellent Product but Be Wary
I tried ordering this product from Amazon twice and both times the product arrived dried up / hard - not as paint. I reached out directly to the manufacturer (in Nevada). The product they shipped me was in perfect condition and worked great!I used this on a rusted bathroom ceiling fan housing - not the fan itself but what you see when looking up at the fan. I found the product easy to apply (it was a bit thinner than a latex paint, but was not runny) and the odor was no where near as bad as some people described - no worse than an oil stain.I applied 3 thin coats and will wait 24 hours and will then apply a white semi gloss latex paint that matches the trim in the bathroom.I suspect you will be unable to reuse any leftover paint - to get the lid off I mangled it and if you don’t get an airtight seal, it will harden up.It’s easy to see how this product suffocates rust - it essentially dries more as a rubber coating than as typical paint. It is smooth and does look like paint, so top coating as I am doing is not necessary.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
As a senior woman, I had purchased the Rust Bullet DuraGrade paint (in June) to cover some rust areas on my car. I was really pleased with the results. It was easy for me to apply and had very little fumes. Now forward to this September…..when I looked at the areas that I painted, I noticed there were a few areas showing the rust bleeding thru. After seeing the bleed thru I decided to purchase the 4oz “White Shell” just to touch up those spots. As soon as I received the product I decided to get started with what I thought would be a 10 minute task. Unfortunately as you can see , I wasn’t even able to open the can! What a disappointment!I then contacted The Rust Bullet customer support to see if they can send me a replacement can of paint so that I can proceed with the touch up for my car. The customer service rep told me to use a screw to put a hole in the can, then pour it into another container! When you tell a senior woman that doesn’t own any tools to put a hole in a can, I don’t consider that customer support! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Obviously I won’t be purchasing products from the people again!

The Best for Treating and Preventing Rust on Metal
This is the best stuff I've found to prevent or treat metal with rust. I try to treat any rusty areas with the Rust Blast first, which really removes the rust, but this paint also inhibits the growth of existing rust if painted over. There are a few tips that I need to share with potential users of this product. The metallic grey is more silver than grey and it's thicker than the black. Therefore, the black may require more coats than the grey (silver). Also, these paints take a long time to dry, or cure. In other words, don't touch it even after it's sitting it the sun for an hour. Give it time to dry. Additionally, don't get this pain on your hands. This stuff sticks to anything and is very difficult to remove, especially fingers. Wear gloves. And finally, since this stuff dries like a weld, getting this pain on the rim of the can will eventually make it almost impossible to open the lid again. Thus the smaller cans are great. I am going to try transferring the contents into a screw-top canister and see if it works better, but I suspect it will only work if I keep the pain off of the rim. Hard to do if you shake it up to mix the paint first. Having said that, with a few precautions, this stuff is like painting a layer of armor over any metal surface. Rust can't grow if it can't breath. Highly recommended, but watch out for the welded lid syndrome which is practically impossible to open.

Old Paint
Received this Dec 27, 2023, and did not open until today (less than 4 months from receiving). The paint is one sticky goo ball. Totally unusable. Doubt the lid leaked air into the container because it was extremely difficult to open. Don’t know how old this paint is but the condition suggests it has been setting on the shelf way too long prior to this sale.

Flows like a river.
The first coat didn’t look that great, but after applying the second, it turned out very nice. Would buy it again.

great stuff - but do not use indoors
I decided to use Rust Bullet Industrial and Whiteshell to paint a rusted out utility sink in my basement and the fumes from both products are making me sick. It's been hours since I applied the first coat of Whiteshell and it's still off-gassing noxious fumes that are making their way throughout my house (even with a large exhaust fan in the basement window). I highly recommend all of Rust Bullet's products but will think twice before ever using them for an indoor project.
