Legitimate technology and a great night cream!
Okay, so here’s the deal. I was kind of confused about the magnet part but after reading some of the reviews about the science behind it, I continued to look into it. Here’s what I have found:The way it works is by using two key ingredients in the cream: Niacinimide and Pentapeptide.Niacinimide helps to reduce appearance of pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, and weakened skin surface. It’s in most anti-aging skin care creams.Pentapeptide is a naturally occurring amino acid which stimulates lower layers of the skin to release collagen and hylauronic acid which are naturally created in a younger person. So, these are two anti-aging ingredients in the cream that are pushed further into layers of your skin by using the “magnet”.The “magnet” is not a magnet in the same sense as what you see on your refrigerator. Therefore, trying to put it against something metal isn’t going to work. It also does not mean there is metal in the cream. Instead, it’s using what’s called “magnetic polarity” which is a naturally occurring force... for example, a compass works by using Earth’s magnetic polarity- by attracting the magnet in the compass to point North. The two ingredients in this cream have a natural magnetic polarity within their molecular build. The tool Olay created has the mirror image of the magnetic polarity in Niacinimide and Peptapeptide. So, similar to when you put two magnets together (+ to +), they push away from each other. This is what the tool is doing. It is pushing the mirrored ingredients deeper into the skin.JAAD (Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology) wrote up an article about this technology from Procter & Gamble. “The results indicated significant improvement in skin barrier as determined by TEWL with the Niacinimide formulation applied with the magnet applicator as compared to either no treatment or treatment with the Niacinimide formulation applied by finger.”As for the personal experience, the cream is super silky, a subtle fragrance, and feels great with the magnet! This stuff has gotten super popular in Asia for a reason... it REALLY does work!****ONE MONTH UPDATE****I’ve been using this cream + magnet for about a month now and I love this even more. Since using it, my pores have become visibly smaller, my skin is bouncier and firmer, and it gives me that “dewy” look when I wake up in the morning. I actually find myself feeling my skin during the day because of how smooth it has gotten. And the SMELL is my favorite. I am definitely recommending this to friends and family.#pgemployee

Has Red 40 as an ingredient?!
Returned this upon looking at the ingredients list, which had Red 40 in it, already restricted in other countries as a known carcinogenic agent (cancer). I’m not sure if rubbing it deeply into your pores (oh how I was looking forward to those magical magnets!) would be as bad as ingesting it, but I’m not willing to risk it, especially bc it’s just for color- there was zero need for them to add this. I returned it, disappointed.

Adding this to my nightly skin regimen now
I bought this after my friend who recommended Olay Regenerist told me to try this. I've been using that cream as part of my nightly regimen since and so I was excited to try this mask. I've always been a fan of the sheet masks, but didn't like how some left my skin feeling either greasy, or dry (if I fell asleep with the mask still on my face). Most mornings I'd wake up in the morning and felt like I needed to wash my face. But the infusion mask doesn't leave either of those feelings. In fact the past week I've been using it, I wake up and my skin feels hydrated and smooth, and after a week of using it I've already started to see a difference. I think it's because my skin has also felt so tight/dry from this winter season, and I'd wake up with a few flakes on some mornings. However my skin feels hydrated when I wake up, and the flakes have gone away this week. I was also one of those people that thought the magnetic infuser tool was just a gimmick, but I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked using it. There's a nice cooling factor at first and as you massage into your skin it gets warmer and feels like a nice massage for your face.

It actually works!
So I saw this product on a Buzzfeed ad and was immediately confused how/why magnets help me look well rested / more youthful. And I read all the reviews and the magic of science explanation and now I’m totally hooked. I’ve had the face cream for about three weeks now and have been using it about 3x/week, only at night. The texture is more like a gel that absorbs quickly, which is way better than a goopy, heavy cream most other night masks are made of. First thing - I’m obsessed with the smell. It’s super clean and fresh but still feminine and lovely. Next, ive definitely noticed my skin is more firm and dewy (which is super hard for a 33 year old that’s lived in the sun most of her life). My pores have shrunk! Finally, the magnet part is actually fun. It’s a mini massage for your face right before you go to sleep - love it!

Understand the technology - This is a great product and even better for sensitive skin!
Really loved this infusion mask - Upon reading about the product, I initially thought that the "magnets" within the hand held tool would be magnets like are on a refrigerator -- but that wasn't the case and it's not supposed to be.The infuser uses magnetic polarity to push the ingredients within the cream deeper into the skin - I would recommend you do research on the technology and product BEFORE writing a review regarding the uselessness of the magnetic infuser included in this kit.The product worked great for me - and I was especially concerned because I have fairly sensitive skin that breaks out easily. At 37, I'm really seeing the lines around my eyes, mouth and on my forehead and since beginning use, those lines have decreased in appearance by at least 50%. This was well worth the purchase and I will be using it regularly! Thanks Olay!
