Super high quality, very warm, great fit

This coat is really nice and I like it a lot, but it's appropriately named GIANT, because it's HUUUUGE. So I'm of average build, fairly slim and 5'-11". Normally, I would get Medium in a coat. I did, and was absolutely swimming in the Medium. Immediately made arrangements to send it back. These coats are shipped from the UK, but returns go to Brooklyn NY which is helpful. I ordered and got a Small quickly; this time I paid more for quicker shipping from UK. Great expedited shipping. Here's the bottom line: The cotton part of the coat is the outer SHELL. So, it's going to be bigger. Even the Small I got is kind of big on me, but at least fits better through the shoulders, etc. The inside zip-out liner is nice and warm but I don't wear it with the coat; the shell portion is two layers thick and well-made; it's warm enough on its own especially with layers underneath. In a huge snow storm I might use the zip-out liner, but only then.When I got the Small coat, I detached the zip-out liner, then washed and dried the shell in a warm dryer which helped it shrink a bit smaller. Still way oversized even after this, but much more acceptable.Also, and this is personal preference: I didn't like bold graphic labels on the front of the coat saying GIANT and brandit. With a seam-ripper, I carefully removed them and like the shell so much better without those labels. Just my choice.Hope this helps; the main thing is - buy smaller than you are!!! Too bad there isn't an extra-small.

It’s too hugely big! Very badly!

Wow! My favorite jacket of all time. Great quality, super warm. Put velcro on the sleeves like ACU's so I could put my patches on it. Better than a friend will never let you down.

This jacket looks like the real deal! Great look and feel. Has that vintage feel. Good enough for the coldest of the days with liner, good enough for cool nights without the liner. The jacket does run big. I normally wear a M and I ordered a small based on the reviews. Still fits a tad big even with the liner and a hoodie underneath. Its perfect for layering. Buy it! You cant go wrong for $100!
