does the straw cap leak if water bottle is upside down?

No it does not leak. It’s just like a Camelback. You have to bite down on the straw slightly while sucking. Doesn’t leak at all and straw tip can be removed for cleaning as well. We own 5 of these cups and love them.

Does the 32 oz fit in bicycle bottle cage?

I dont believe so, it definitely does not fit in most car drink holders.

How do you clean the silicone piece between straw and mouthpiece?

I use a straw brush and hot water. Works pretty well.
