Very addicting and relaxing. Cute story progression
I absolutely adore this game! It’s very relaxing and addicting. You get a feeling early on of just how big this place to explore is, and there’s something addicting about gathering and foraging. The characters are colorful and I love the character development of your staff and the customers that come through.I haven’t gotten my dragon to full size yet, but there’s still so much to do!I don’t know what everyone in previous reviews was complaining about. There’s absolutely progression in the game from various facets. You progress through the game via the stories of people who come through your inn and the recipes you make to help them out. Often you can’t great recipes until you hit a certain part in the story. Also people have complained about the loading screens. There is only the main loading screen between going inside your house and when you go to the vast outdoors, and it’s not that long of a wait. Calm down people.I think it’s great. Farming is not an aspect of this, not really, so don’t compare that to an actual harvest moon game. That’s not the focus!Just relax, enjoy the island, cook, gather ingredients and recipes, care for a dragon and enjoy the colorful characters that come through!

Cute Game
My fiance got this for me, and I got it for my mother for christmas. My mom loves it. She plays it lots. Me, a hardcore gamer, accepts the games faults, but due to how cute it is, I just don't care. Yes there's pop in and frame rate issues sometimes, and it's a pretty low risk affair, which means it's not very challenging and doesn't offer the same rewarding feeling as something like dark souls. However... the game is so charming and so cute, that I still love it all the same. I love the dragon, and the characters. I would love to see what Yasuhiro Wada could do with a full budget and the proper time to create a sequel. I understand that about 70% of what he wanted to do was cut from the final product. It's such a cute franchise, and I know he wants to make a sequel. Please Aksys, fund a sequel and let him have the time and budget to flesh it out. ^_^

Super cute and many hours of fun
Super cute! Mix of Animal Crossing, item farming, pet caring, cafe/restaurant sim and adorable storylines with special characters who come to the cafe. World opens up as you progress.
