Great Reference | Enjoy Fred's Opinion
Greetings - As an NEC Expert and Consultant myself I always invest in Fred's NEC Handbook because I enjoy his insight into things. He always has a hint of sarcasm I enjoy. I also enjoy supporting other educators and authors so Great Job Fred....Keep up the good work and I highly recommend this publication.

Good, but old illustrations...
Good book, but lots of old fashioned illustrations, and not in color. I believe some of the old Mcpartland books had color illustrations showing examples of common installations, and what is allowed by NEC. Would also like to see more suggestions of how to economically appease the current code updates, yet get the job done. For example, knob and tube is a thing of the past, who needs to see details on connecting to that? Yet they barely touch on allowing one 20amp circuit for multiple residential bathrooms (plugs only), or a suggestion for using a meter box, with an integral disconnect for appeasing the 2020 nec code. Book is good, don't get me wrong, but there's room for improvement.

This ~1500 page book is missing ALL the tables! Practically worthless without those.
This is the first time I'm using an NEC handbook, and I've been studying back and forth constantly with it and UGLY's Residential Wiring. It took me a while to realize why I seemed in the dark on a number of concepts, and it's because THIS BOOK HAS ALL TABLES REMOVED!!!What author would remove such vital information? Is this a joke? Now I'm having to go print every table I need from a 2017 handbook PDF I found online.Ridiculous!

Good Book, But Not the Official Handbook
This is a good, inexpensive reference book, but don't be tricked (like I was) into thinking it is the official Handbook. More pictures and diagrams than the official book, though. Give it a good preview before you buy.
