GreenPan Rio 8 Inch and 10 Inch Ceramic Non-Stick Fry Pan Set, Turquoise -

This duo of fry pans are remarkable. Food slides right out. So easy to wipe clean. I have been using for 2 months and they have easily became my favorite go to pan. I have been careful not to overheat so it takes a little longer for it to start cooking, but the heat seems to be evenly distributed. The surface looks like it did the day I got them. And I really love the aqua color.

I recently brought a new bird into my home as a pet, and knowing that teflon coated pans are toxic to them, I started doing research on what I could replace my old pans with. All the pans people were recommending to me were insanely expensive, and while I enjoy cooking, I am no grommet chef. If my eggs don't stick, I'd be happy. Well, not only are these pens really really really non stick.. I mean wow.. no oil needed, they don't contain any chemicals that can cause toxic fumes which could harm my cockatiel. I also love the soft, comfortable handles, and the COLOR. Okay, I have to admit that between these pans and another set that were similarly priced and had equally good reviews, the color won me over. They are soooo pretty. I absolutely LOVE these pans!

The good: The nonstick is great for so many foods and cleaning the inside area is a cinch. The bad: Even though I really like these pans, these lost a star because the underside gets stained and if you scrub too hard the paint comes off. Also, even though I don't stack them, use metal utensils, or put them in the dishwasher, the nonstick coating has nicks in just a few months.

In my quest to get rid of Teflon pans I've tried stainless steel, anodized pans and ceramic pans by other companies. Nothing worked well and, as someone who cooks daily, a good frying pan is a must. This set really hits the spot in every way that I like. The ceramic coating has held up perfectly since the first use and I have owned these for over a month now. The cream colored nonstick coating does not stain from turmeric, which I use a lot of. You need barely a quarter teaspoon of oil to fry up an egg and the heat transfer is even and quick. The pan cleans up very easily, including the bottom of the pan. I especially like that there are no rivets showing inside the pan where the handle connects to the body. Having rivets in the interior of a frying pan always ends up with food getting caught there, grease building up, etc. There are clear instructions in the packaging about cleaning the pan to keep performance optimal. I use a soft sponge, mild soap and absolutely no dishwasher use. The instructions state that if there is a residue buildup (I suspect cooking sprays might be an issue but I stopped using those years ago) then you can clean the pan using a magic eraser or similar sponge. I do wish these had come with lids. I have the exact size lid for the larger pan but do not have one for the smaller one. An inverted steel plate is my messy substitute. Still, after trying so many different non stick pans, I am extremely happy with these.

The pans arrived quickly and were carefully packaged to protect finishes. The first use was great - I could barely keep the egg in the pan. After a few uses the "non-stick" quality had diminished. Yes, I read and followed all of the instructions. I am keeping the pans knowing that they will likely not last a year - the lifespan of my two previous GreenPans. I did not return them because I had used them three times.

Great pans...non-stick and easy to clean. They don't last very long...but still great for the money. We mostly use coconut oil to cook with them.

Buyer beware. . . I don't usually leave reviews, but I am so angry. When I first got thesepans they worked pretty well. But a month and a half in and I am ready to throw.the small pan out the window. I take great carw of these pans. I always hand wash them .. I always make sure that they are fully cool when I do wash them. I don't use anything abrasive to wash them. I use a lower heat setting when I cook with them. I put a cloth in between them so that the surface doesn't get scratched by the bottom of another pan. Even with all of this I still have a horrible time with food sticking to the pan. The picture I have included is from cooking my son's eggs this morning. I did as the instructions said and like I did for the first several weeks. I put a small amount of butter in the pan with the eggs. As you can see a good amount of eggs stuck to the pan. What a waste of food. . . . and money (for both the food and the pan) I would return them if I could, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that for this item. I thought I was doing something good for my family with these green pans. I feel so betrayed. Don't waste your money.

...and she is tickled with them. I am very wary of pans with non-stick coatings as they have health consequences and my daughter in law loves hers. However, her pans are getting gouged so the non-stick coating is ending up in their foods. Ick. I prefer stainless as I've discovered the trick to easy cleaning for them but she does not, so I got this for her and she loves them. They're easier to clean and she says the heat is more evenly distributed and cooking is more pleasant!

El primer mes no se le pega nada! Pero después se comporta como un sartén normal al que se le pega todo, sea lo que sea que tenía para evitar que la comida ya nos lo comimos :-( . Incluso estoy dudando que realmente sean de cerámica.
