It is easy to enjoy this 19mm Luminos. The picture is sharp and luminous for this focal lenght. Eye position is easy to hold while maintaining the entire 82 degrees apparent field of view. I saw no kidney bean black spots and I was able to see the entire field without touching the lens with my eyelashes. The top lens is about 26mm wide. It's similar to mk4 Hyperion Zoom lens. Its ajustable knob for the eye guard turns smoothly giving you a fluid resistance, but the rubber is a bit sticky to the touch. I thought the eye guard would be useless but I was wrong, it's very comfortable. I am using it with a Celestron 8SE telescope, the experience may be different with a faster telescope. Comparing to my 35mm Panoptic, this Luminos 19mm is very good. It's not as sharp, but the Panoptic is 35mm, the higher the number the sharper the image. The image does not wobble with a slightest movement like the Panoptic does. Panoptic has a difficult eye position comparing to this one. Overall, I would say it is at least 90% as good as the Panoptic is at 35% the price. Comparing to mk4 Hyperion Zoom, the picture is clearer, sharper and wider. It has more eye relief. I feel like it's better is every way at the same focal lenght. The mk4 can zoom however. Is 82 degrees worth it? The field of view for those who have only 68 degree eyepieces appears just a little bit wider. There is no wow factor like going from 50 to 68, but it's a bit more immersive. With this eyepiece you will get a great overall experience at affordable price.

Really a fantastic eyepiece. Going from the stock, 1.25" EPs to this was very cool. This thing is as big as -- and solid as -- a grenade! Make sure you balance your OTA with it on before you use it. Best with a quality diagonal, of course. (I use a Celestron, Dielectric Star 2" on a C9.25 SCT.) Very minor, but still a bit disappointed that Celestron still prints on the box that the 19mm is a "1.25" Eyepiece." (Come on guys! It is definitely a 2" EP.) Ugh. Oh well, definitely worth it! Clear skies!
