Sweet Tooth: The Return

Not quite as captivating as the original, but still a great post-apocalyptic story.

Product arrived on time but when I opened it I felt something odd on the cover. Upon inspection there appears to be black tar-like gunk all over it. Likely glue residue from stickers being pulled from it improperly and left where dirt could collect on it without being cleaned

Loved the original series, not so much this one.

After I finished the original run of Sweet Tooth, it took me a while to get to this one. And I think that was good, because this is an alternate or separate Sweet Tooth story that doesn't exactly has to do with the originals (even though you have to be acquainted with them to understand it) but it is just another take on that universe and those characters, almost like a "what if" scenario. I liked going back to that universe and Lemire's drawings that captivated me so many years ago. It doesn't take away from the original run, it's short, you can read it in one sitting and just enjoy a little bit more of Sweet Tooth.

I am a huge Jeff Lemire fan, and the original run of Sweet Tooth was one of my favourite comics (I have the TPBs on my bookshelf).I feel like this book should have never been made. I don't think it adds anything to the Sweet Tooth lore. If anything, it detracts from the ending of the original series.I bought this one without reading any reviews, so I'm not sure how everyone else feels, but I would suggest skipping this one.Again, huge Lemire fan, but not a fan of this book. I'll begrudgingly keep it on my bookshelf beside the far superior original series.

Brilliant

A very good sequel to the original series. Keeps the some fibe and an interesting story.Hopefully there will be others.

Same quality artwork, but story is not what I expected for a sequel. To much sci-fi and distopian society issues for my liking. The original series was an exciting tale and had better characters developpement. This is not so much the case in this series. Somewhat disapointed with my purchase.
