I'm African American and my hair is natural but I do flat iron my hair once a week. My length is shoulder length and I used one packet. I honestly didn't think one packet was going to be enough but I massaged it in well, focusing around my problem area of grays which is my temple. I made sure I fingered through my entire hair while it was dry then put on a plastic cap for ten minutes then I used Morrocanoil smoothing shampoo and conditioner as normal to wash. My results were amazing. I feel its one of those products like He detergent where less is more or its easy to use more than needed for the same result. Like I said, I didn't expect my entire head of hair to take the color since it wasn't soaked like most hair color requires but ALL of it was dyed black. Anyway, I'm stoked and its been only a week and my hair is doing great. It didn't dry it out, and its fully covered a natural black. However, I would recommend using better gloves than provided. It was so easy to use, if it doesn't last as long as stated,, I don't mind applying sooner. Blessings~

I use to buy for men's hair dye, after using this last night, I'm sold on this product. You know how when you use young men's hair dye and it leaves all kinds of black dye on your scalp for a few days, this stuff has very little dye residue after you use it. I squeezed the entire content inside package and rubbed it together and then put it in my hair as if I was washing it with shampoo. I wiped the excess shampoo around my face and ears and left it in my hair for 4-5 minutes and took it out and my gray hairs were gone. It also didn't make it too dark were you look like a circus animal. I ordered another package right away. I'm going to give it to my friends and family.

To start off I’m currently in my late 20’s just wanting to keep my naturally brown hair black so I’m not covering any gray hair (yet). My hair was already dyed black but I needed to touch up since it was fading and also had a few missed spots from previous dye jobs (I usually do it myself).The package comes with bags of dye and developer. I ended up using 3 to cover my head fully and I only have about shoulder length hair that is fine and not thick.When first opening the products I HIGHLY recommend using your OWN gloves since the ones provided ended up getting dye on my hands anyway which in a sense did stain my skin (but all dyes will, just have to let it wear off). Now the bags of dye are a bit weird since it’s a two part thing that just squeezed out and you mix them together. I ended up using a hair dye mixing bowl for more convenience because the “shampoo” is to be put on dry hair but it’s almost a slime consistency.Once I finally got all the “shampoo/dye” on my hair I left it for a few mins like the box directed (since it was just a refresh I didn’t figure it needed to long). After it set in a bit I went ahead and washed it out. Immediately I noticed that my hair was EXTREMELY dry feeling and I have normally oily hair (I also did not wash my hair on this day prior to using this product). As I washed my hair I noticed a good bit of hair came out as well, nothing to unnerving but definitely something I noticed. I decided to use a conditioner that moisturizes as well as put in leave in conditioner afterwards. My hair air dryer very quickly (quicker than normal) so I knew my hair was a bit dry. But the color came out nicely and pretty evenly. (Again my hair was ALREADY dyed black and this was just a touch up).I will update after a few days (I was my hair daily) to see how the color holds up.TLDR; this product is a bit of a hassle to use due to the consistency and made my hair VERY dry. There is no scent, there is a bit of a mess because of the packaging, and the gloves provided are trash.EDIT:I’ve used the whole box by this point and I will say it holds up pretty well all in all. I shower and wash my hair daily and it lasts through grow out. I’m very impressed and will rebuy this.
