Earth Sky + Water & Poster - Peterson's Backyard Birds of the Rocky Mountain States

We've recently moved to a new home in a new state in the Rocky Mountain States with trees around and many birds. From the first day we got this poster, it has been a source of beauty, questions answered, and new questions that lead to interesting research for us. We have loved being able to learn more about the life around us with this lovely poster. I currently have it taped with blue tape to the wall, but I really need to find a thrifty but nice way to frame it because I would like it to last. Or, I should have bought the laminated version. The poster is exactly what it purports to be and beautiful.

This attractive poster evokes pleasant childhood memories of rifling through my Dad's illustrated bird books by Peterson. A talented artist (Peterson, not my Dad). My wife and I have really had fun identifying a number of birds at the feeders in our yard. I keep hoping one day for something exotic that isn't on the poster. I do think it's a bit pricey, but the paper is definitely high quality stock.

I discovered that the quality of the illustrations are very high. This is the kind of beauty that lasts.

We use this poster to identify birds that come through our yard. The size (19x27) has been difficult to find a frame for, but other than that we’re happy with it.
