Alvarez AF30CE Artist Series Guitar

Ok so i was very skeptical when I ordered this not having the opportunity to play it first. But with things being the way they are (being stuck home and all) so I figured what the hell. All I can say is WOW. Alvarez really smacked it out of the park on this one. For $300 you get a beast of a guitar. I've been playing most of my life. I've played high end guitars and beaters, but this is exceptional. The natural tone of this guitar is very crisp and surprisingly deep on the low E for being a folk style body. Keep that in mind when you look at this gal. It is a FOLK style body which means its a bit smaller than your dreadnoughts. Then I plugged it in. Again all I can say is wow. Just wow. This is a steal for any skill level. The only reason this isn't a 5 star is there is a couple blemishes on the front that I noticed. But the fret lines are straight and not protruding and the body hole had zero excess material Great buy.

I bought this guitar to use live, playing with others. So far, I've been really impressed with the low and high end clarity and resonance. I was a bit surprised at how light it felt, but maybe I'm just use to playing heavy guitars. I also really like the way the satin finish feels. Sometimes glossy finishes make my hand stick awkwardly when playing, but that's not the case here.Mine didn't come with a gig bag or case, and it's difficult to find one since Alvarez doesn't give industry standard bout and waist sizes, so I wanted to put them here. I've been rocking an Alvarez dreadnaught for 20 years...even to the point where the bridge saddle was falling apart. I finally decided to update and went for a smaller body guitar with a cutway. I love the action on this guitar and have been surprised by the clarity of sound.

This guitar is a great value for the money! It has a wonderful sound. It plays like a much more expensive guitar.I bought this for my daughter. She sings and plays guitar for her church and she loves it! She typically is kind of reserved but she went on and on how much she loves this guitar. She is very proud of it.

Quality instrument, even at the lower price point in the Alvarez Artist Series. Bone nut and saddle, 1.75" nut, solid top, electronics and especially the open-pore non-glossy finish. Sounds much better than my Epiphone with a laminate top. What's not to like? The service from Instrumentpro was timely, especially in these unusual (COVID-19) times. The guitar was double-boxed and arrived in undamaged condition. I would consider other purchases from Instrumentpro.

Slightly under size. Great for preteen

If there was a layer of lacquer on the guitar it was not discernable. The setup was not good. This guitar is mass-produced in St. Louis, MO and the craftmanship was a lot to be desired. The care to detail was not there in sound or in quality. The third-party seller also wanted to charge a restocking fee for sending this damaged guitar back.

Worth every penny. I needed a guitar with a pickup to play at church and this one works great. I played a similar guitar at Guitar Center and knew I liked the quality and sound of the Artist series so I went ahead and bought this one. It takes a little played to work out the buzzing, but it sounds nice and sweet now.
